[She still feels a bit hazy and drugged when finally Dany sends out this message. Fleeing the party, getting caught up in the chaos, it only adds to her disorientation. She may or may not have attempted to post this before, but stopped herself, forgetting what she wanted to say or even how to speak. Once she's come down just enough, she's able to get out:]

The Chained God is inclined to destroy the world. My vision, I- I heard the Chainer asking the serpent about why he means to do this. He said that change is needed and something must die for something else to be born. The view of stopping this or seeing it as abandonment is selfish. The earth suffers without change.

Ephes needs to realize that their god wishes to move forward at the cost of their safety.

[ Five is walking out of the lighthouse as he addresses the network, since it's generally quieter where ghosts aren't constantly interrupting his thoughts. The beauty of this form of communication is it's not entirely unlike talking to himself, which is really his preference. ]

Okay, listen up. Since we're all sharing, let's see if we can't come up with an actual plan, before we experience the next shift and you all inconveniently forget who you are again.

[ To say nothing of a haunting that has already sent him into a panic attack or how he nearly drowned just to see for himself what he'd already heard second-hand. Nothing but success for Five Hargreeves. ]

Two orders of business. One, Miang-Si is obviously a catalyst, if not the cause of what's happening here. I searched her room one of the nights she was out galavanting with her lake friends. There was correspondence that suggested she was enamored with someone, who I now assume was the Huntress. I also found evidence that the woman in white, and another in red, visited her there. The witches she's involved with also may have dragged in women doing laundry nearby into their lake at some point, judging by what was found with the skeletons at the bottom.

Secondly, these hauntings aren't just some curse. If they are spirits, we need to figure out a way to trap them. There's a woman in white, a man in black, a lumberjack, and another woman in red. Who else has been seen and how often? If we can capture one of them, maybe we can get some answers before whatever triggered this starts again.

[ He has no doubt it'll happen at the worst possible moment.

Just as he's about to continue with his all-important conspiracy theories, he's approached by a young girl with a silver coin in hand. Distantly she can be heard saying she's worried about her family, and asks him to take a donation for Kathoo'lul's blessing. Dumbfounded, he takes it and promptly loses his train of thought as she scurries away. ]

Not long after Yancai went back in time, I became convinced the two moons that steward the village were not real. I couldn't tell you where this feeling came from, beyond a connection I have to the celestial.

I know I was not alone in my conviction.

It led Lan Wangji and myself to Storm's Sage — specifically, to a room that was filled with runes. It looked to me like it was once an observatory, except now it has a gaping hole in its ceiling that allows moonlight to shine down into a large bowl of water directly underneath it.

The magic exuding from the bowl did not register malicious to me, but it did seem constant, as though it could not and must not be interrupted. It also came with some fragments of memories, though they were disjointed and incoherent.

( To the best of her abilities, Emilia describes every fragment she was privy to. )

I realise how absurd this may sound, but it truly did feel as though the moon was in the room. In the water.

I've just returned from a meeting with Rathakku.

He makes an offer. He will withdraw his forces from Alem and allow evacuation, if --

[(his lips press together; this is clearly the part that he mislikes so greatly)]

Ten of us agree to join his ranks. Ten, and Deimar, as the dead who walk, who fight for Rathakku.

[A hard shake of his head.]

If this is enough for him -- if he has the fortress, I think the lives of those who leave are like to be forfeit either way. But I think they may leave ten of us tied in the yard to have that chance.

Half, then twelve, then ten. The numbers keep getting smaller.

I say none.

[She's a bit more tanned than most who know Dany have seen her before. Her peach fuzz has now officially become a pixie cut with her silver hair standing out. Drogon is with her, sadly not grown very much, but at least curled around her shoulders contently. You might notice his claws digging into her skin, a hint of possessiveness about him. There's a reason for that.

In front of her is a makeshift incubator for two dragon eggs, keeping them warm despite looking really fossilized. Not sure how well it translate on video, but necromancers and life sensitive people should be able to pick up that they're not truly stone and there's magic in those eggs.]

Jon Snow and I have recently returned from our journey to the Sibilant Sands. Much as we thought, there are a number of dragon bones present as well as Minaras airships. It seems the further you journey in, the more you encounter sandstorms and find more remains.

There were scales as well. We each have a few if you wish to inspect it.

These were the true treasures. [She beams happily at the eggs, as proud as any mother.] I believe they are capable of hatching and I sensed a similar magic in them as I did with Drogon's egg. Time and magic might help them eventually hatch.

A bit of time has passed since we traveled to the Relint. There is something that happened while we were exploring that Emilia and feel should be shared. While we were exploring, she and I both encountered dark water. I'm certain that you must have seen it. We were both foolish enough to touch it and after we did, there were strange visions we witnessed.

It is not the first time that something like this has happened to any of us, as I am certain you know. We have come to the conclusion that we witnessed the crashing of the Relint. Emilia has said she is willing to go over the full timeline of events. What we felt was the strangest and most important part involved those mannequin bodies that were at the pilot seat. There were no other bodies present, if you recall? No sign of a crew.

It seems that the crew was the mannequins. Something had been controlling them, moving them about as puppets on a string, operating them. In the vision I saw, I could hear a voice over...what I think was the mannequins shoulder. It was directing it how to fly, obstacles to expect until the ship crashed.

What do you make of this?

( Fortune favours the bold, or those who have never crossed paths with the witch Karsa. She has been biding her time aboard the Queen Zanyra, manning the new recruits — and appears in good health, but for how half of her face sometimes catches the light strangely, nearly silvered. A flicker of oddity, and it's gone.

She addresses the group in whispers now, from an ill-lit quarter — days before the ships enter the Crossing. )

Hasten. Wash the silt and stale water from your ears. You fools. What are you doing? Sleeping, when they tell you to sleep? Rubbing their decks? A little polish? Is that what you are for? On your knees, and saying 'please'? And 'thank you'?

( Tch. But she seems too rushed to scold:) ...in any case, you are alive. That is surprising. But good. Now, let us keep it so. They have not told you much. They never tell you much. You are for the Crossing — old stories say it is... where things that should not be find their brothers. Things that lived and died. Things that died before they ever breathed. Things that should not be born. It is a turbulence. On merchant routes, they avoid this sea by a distance of several days of sailing.

( A creak, as if steps. She stops, searches each way, before trusting enough to continue: ) Why do they take this path? Luck does not love them? Women do not love them? No one would cry for them? I do not cry for them. I spit on them. But we can't spit from the grave. They believe, these captains, and the stupid animals and bundles of bones that man their ships, they believe they can survive.

I do not know why. But we must learn, if we are to be protected. Ask carefully: they do not like questions. Quicksilver, he is mad. Not in the way of men's madness, which is natural to them. They are fools of the blood. This is the different. He is mad of the mind. And the other one, the Rope... he seems mad of the heart.

But we must know what they know, else they might be fools, but we are even more foolish. Go. Be swift and careful.

There is a great deal to discuss. Wrathion has provided much of the news that I have learned, but there are two further pieces of information that I feel is relevant. The last sacrifice to Sanwon was the child of Hyang-Won and Anui. She seems to have been from Waicai and while she moved past her beliefs, it never fully disappeared.

When the volcano started to heat again and it was time for someone to go, she gave her child. He was the last sacrifice. She waited until Hyang-Won was at hunt. When he returned and found his son gone, he was frantic and angry. He disappeared into the woods where a man that Hyang-Tai calls 'the Traveler' followed to calm him. It's not known what was spoken of, but apparently when Hyang-Won returned, he was changed, as were his beasts. They became as they are now. Not creatures of the woods.

Anui was gone and the villages were quiet. I think it may be possible that whatever curses this place is related to that and perhaps to the traveler. He is the reason for the House of Ravens, those that go in but never come out.

It might be possible to find a way to undo this curse, as we have had to undo the curses of ancestors here, but I am not certain how.

I do ask that someone accompany me to the House of Ravens, but only those that may wish to know more. I made a promise that I must fulfill and it may offer more answers.

There's good news and bad news.

The positive side of this is I have a better understanding of what is happening.

The negative is the information doesn't appear to solve any immediate problems, but it does present some theories.

Firstly, it doesn't seem like the Huntress actually has any grand plans to take the fight to the Beastmaster. She was born locally and claims she just wants to visit the House of Ravens when it opens. According to her, it isn't possible to actually defeat him. I would argue she underestimates us, but I didn't want to tip my hand too heavily.

When the Beastmaster fully loses his powers she expects everyone else to as well. I did ask her if that was only magic or if it would be a drain of strength too, but she was unclear on that. Plenty of you have swords, after all.

I'm the least of the Beastmaster's fans, but it seems as if he has been against the concept of sacrifice. What I'm missing here is the full detail of what happens instead.

Let's begin at the beginning:

From what I understand, The Beastmaster was born Hyang-Won in Waihu. He came from a hunting family and had no particular fondness for the local beliefs and sacrifices. The Huntress was born in Waicai, and was fully sold on the sacrificial rites. Her birth name was Kye-geum but she married him as they were both strong hunting families and took the name Anui. One mystery solved there at least.

Regardless, they had a son and their clash of beliefs became a problem. She claims he was a good child who went to the House of Ravens willingly when it opened, but I wonder if the reason she's persued is the Beastmaster cannot forgive her the loss of their son.

The Huntress claims she doesn't hunt us, she flees him. She specifically said "if I go, it is because I am promised reprieve." That's certainly been the case here with us, and makes me wonder if someone suggested Taravast to her in the first place -- which would put a new spin on things.

Now, the House of Ravens only opens for a few days a year. Several are taken, but she suggests she doesn't know if her son was among them despite his going -- which makes me wonder if she thinks he might still be alive. She may be going to see it open to find out. Do several enter but they don't all die? A question.

So, we know the Beastmaster still takes people but supposedly is against the old ways of sacrifice. We've seen some dull-eyed villagers, which suggests something unpleasant is still done. We know along with these changes there was a White Wanderer who disliked the concept of worship only happening at the House of Ravens. We know he is associated with the dark water, which is safe when cold but has unpleasant side-effects when not.

I suspect the Beastmaster and the White Wanderer worked together on this. The dark water in the volcano is formed into some sort of mirror too, which made me think of reports of a pale man at the Ellethia tower. Experiments would be in line with what we know of the people there, especially ones that go awry -- perhaps this White Wanderer was a survivor from there, or someone who left before the catastrophic end.

Onto the volcano itself: it's been reported that the whole tribute process was not a direct sacrifice where they died due to the heat of the volcano, but a matter of absorbing a build up of magic to stave off eruption. My question here is, although many of these villagers were overwhelmed and died -- where did the Beastmaster and the Huntress gain their gifts? Did they go through a similar process yet survive, or develop them naturally?

If it's possible to survive the process, it's possible to stave off eruption safely. If we could find this White Wanderer, plenty of missing pieces might fit into place. Of course, there does appear to be a time limit.

( Emilia di Carlo's hair has seen better days.

It looks suspiciously nest-like, and one of her sleeves singed and torn. The further she and Wrath walk back into the village, the more she feels it: the mark of hollowed things. The withered trees and the dying river beds. ... To say they have missed out on recent developments is an understatement.

But they do not come without news of their own.
)

We were able to go very deep into the volcano and discovered something in the process.

( For this rare moment, Wrath appears to be somewhat disheveled as well. His hair is out of place. There's light scratch marks upon his cheek. His suit is singed. His sleeve on the right sight has been entirely burned away, revealing a muscular arm. In his pocket, he carries with him a piece of what they found though he has little interest in mentioning that out loud just yet. He wants to understand what it is first, and so he glances at Emilia with a grim nod and then supplies further: )

At the center of the volcano, an apparent naturally made mirror is being used as a cork to hold back a mounting level of lava, a potent flow of magic, and an unimaginable number of spirits. The pressure appears to be mounting.

( ooc: vi and i had a hiatus in april, and this help explains the absence of emilia and wrath during that time. EDITED the following day when i realized i missed a detail about the volcano. it was naturally made from a large pool of dark water. )

I have an odd question for you, but I am growing a bit desperate. Have you seen any charred carcasses around? Maybe some that are half eaten or simply the bones turned black? I have looked through the forest but I haven't seen any such signs. There may be more skilled trackers in the group who have seen larger collections of them around, I am deeply in need of information, no matter how small it might seem.

[Rescuing Drogon hadn't quelled the dragon's temper. It was one matter for him to fly off for a time. He'd done it in the other places they had been, but he always returned to Dany. This last month had been spent frantically searching, realizing that this was the longest he'd been away.

But there was no sign or sound.
