I have an odd question for you, but I am growing a bit desperate. Have you seen any charred carcasses around? Maybe some that are half eaten or simply the bones turned black? I have looked through the forest but I haven't seen any such signs. There may be more skilled trackers in the group who have seen larger collections of them around, I am deeply in need of information, no matter how small it might seem.

[Rescuing Drogon hadn't quelled the dragon's temper. It was one matter for him to fly off for a time. He'd done it in the other places they had been, but he always returned to Dany. This last month had been spent frantically searching, realizing that this was the longest he'd been away.

But there was no sign or sound.

Now, in a moment of desperation, she would cling to any small clue she could find. A charred bone, a hunk of meat left smoldering. So long as she knew that her dragon was still free somewhere and not stolen again.]

I fear I have been wielding fire against things in the forest myself, it may cloud your search for evidence. We can cross-reference any sightings.

[ 'Wielding fire' being, technically, true. She's seen him manipulate fire in his mortal shape, so he has no issue admitting to this. ]

That will make matters difficult. Your flames and his are so similar. Unless you recall specifically where you have spread the fire, I think I may only end up in circles.

It is not safe, no, not with the Beastmaster and his creatures roaming. We will need to find him quickly. Is there anything that particularly appeals to him?

That is my true fear for him. Not the threat of the hunters or villagers, but the Beastmaster. I want Drogon close while the undead are roaming.

Meat. Animal. There isn't anything in particular.

Blood would draw him, as well as other predators.

Perhaps we could hunt something, then, and see if the kill draws his attention?

It might work, but for it to lure him, it may need to be something large.

Which could draw more predators.

Of course.

Additionally, search for the shrines in the forest. A piece from them will give Drogon short-lived immunity to the Beastmaster's thrall. That may help until you can bring him somewhere safe.

Do you think it's possible that a dragon is susceptible to the Beastmaster?

I will do my best to find them unless you want to go with me to look?

I think it is entirely possible. He controls many types creatures, and some of those can attach to and control humans. Assuming anything is outside of his power invites being proven wrong. It is better to be prepared.

I will seek a boar to use as bait. Several of our number have been to and from the shrines, hopefully one of them can direct to the easiest to locate of their number. Let me know when you are ready.

I agree, though I still am not certain how far the Beastmaster can influence a creature from a different world. You are right, we should be prepared however.

My journeys into the forest don't include scouting... Isn't there a hunt? Would he know to hide?

I worry more for the hunters than for Drogon. If he doesn't want to be found, it's impossible to locate him. He likely has made a nest somewhere, but I had hoped it was closer to us. Seeing carcasses would indicate that, but it seems not to be the case.

How is the forest? I heard there were bigger creatures there?

If you venture into it, it's good to have a quick exit route - I can disappear, as it was, so I managed to stay out of the way of most creature. But it makes travel difficult.

One would think he is big enough for that not to happen.

Misplaced, no. He flew off after I freed him from bandits. I thought that he simply needed a bit of freedom, but he still hasn't returned to me.

You would be surprised. When he was large enough to ride, he could manage to get lost in the countryside.

No, I don't believe so.

I don't think he has been stolen by him.

I was thinking he'd probably be parading him around if he'd managed to catch him. It'd be quite the prestigious companion for him, I assume.

I will keep an eye out, but I don't know that I'll be very helpful except for telling you if I spot him.

I don't know the Beast Master well enough to know what he'd do. Is he the type to parade him around?

It would still be enough to know that someone might have seen him.

Maybe not parade, but he seems proud of his animal companions and he gathers them around him.

What is he like? Everything I think I know of him is apparently not true. He wields the dead, doesn't he?

I haven't seen him in person, but since he is one of them, I would assume so; Although the people here seme to see him as more of a benefactor, a bit like some people in Sa-Hareth seemed to support Anurr.

I met some of his family. He was born here.
