I can talk to them if you'll let me. It's possible they're too far gone for even that kind of choice to be an option.

He cares. About certain things. It's wrong to just look at him and decide he's evil, just because he's undead. But he certainly has his own goals in mind, and he's powerful so him tagging along with us and doing this...

I am certain. If they could speak in any way, they would accept any promise of relief to their suffering. They would not think through possible consequences nor examine their options.

Annur promises an end to their suffering, but he himself admits he does not know how so he is no better option than any of the others. I'm only surprised he didn't lie and claim he did.

( it means he is a bit more complicated than simply an individual who wishes to win regardless of the cost. granted, he may have known no one would believe him if he had promised to know how to stop it. )
