Well, I don't think we should agree blindly, but...

He did say that if he had really wanted to take them, he could have done that without asking, and I believe that's true. So I'll give him the benefit of the doubt on that at least.

He didn't quiet answer me much about why he wants them. He said it was to free them, but...

If people forcefully do that, then yes. But that's not the only reason why souls don't pass on.

What excuses? It's a fact. Some souls don't want to move on for one reason or another. If they don't bother the living and don't make trouble, what does it matter? Can't we let them sort themselves out fist before trying to forcefully banish them because we're uncomfortable?

I have caught a lot of ghosts, and helped a few pass on. And I've met a lot of souls who had very good reasons not to go.

Is it really so bad to ask them, if they have enough consciousness left to understand?

We do not speak of asking spirits. Appeasement is ever the first step. You speak of a creature who rules them. Who rouses them. Who forces himself.

That's what people in your world do. That doesn't make you more right than others who see things differently.

As far as I know, he hasn't done anything that warrants being attacked indiscriminately just because he happens to be undead. I disagree with some of his methods too, but he has his reasons to still be here, I am sure. Who am I to decide they're wrong and I know better than him what is good for his soul?

But I still went and told him you can't just ask for people to be given to you like that, because that's not right.
