Like nothing is ever given for free. Especially not electronics. If you're not paying upfront, you're paying in privacy. Even those cute little robot vacuums are mapping the schematics to your home.

And if by some miracle they're not already listening in, they can always be hacked in the future.

That's why I've been asking around, putting together a picture of what to expect. Apparently we're headed to the half that doesn't have dragons, which honestly is a little disappointing. Dragons are so much cooler than robots.

Yeah but you can't fly on the back of these robots. Which is lame because most of the robots from my world can fly. We got stuck with some serious duds.

Oh, well, I grew up in Nebraska, and my husband in Illinois. [Fellow midwesterners, except...] Both without robots, for the most part. Do you have self-driving cars and that too?

They are working on those. Sometimes they still run over the test dummies.
