[ it takes some time, but eventually Yennefer figures out how to use the widget she was given and starts a connection, which she wouldn't bother with if she hadn't experienced what she did with Eleven and Moiraine. so, she had some questions for the rest of the group.

unfortunately, she's all business and foregoes any proper introduction to those she has not yet had the privilege of meeting yet. ]

I'd start this out by asking if anyone has done any dream walking lately, but I think it only adds to the mounting list of fucked up things that have already been going on. So, I'll just ask if anyone has been lured up to the 11th floor by our strange and fatuous host and if so, what their experience was like.

[ That seems the best way to open things up. The conversation might not be received as well if she starts with informing everyone that her and her companions have done the reasonable thing by killing the twenty people sleeping on the 11th floor. ]

It is hard to say for sure. On the surface, to protect. He took care of them physically; bathed and combed their hair. But their memories suggest they've been sleeping for some time, reliving memories in their dreams over and over again.

[downswing]

What memories?

[violetchaos]

I saw a man holding his bitten and bloody arm close to him. Then there was a woman, staring at herself in a room that had several mirrors. Each reflection did something different from what she was really doing. The last of which reached out of the mirror to touch her hair.

And then the others involved the people that were with me, helping Zenobius. Only there were only nine sleepers, not ten.

Some... 'sleepers' show marks of assault.

[violetchaos]

There was an attack in another memory. A woman's hands were cut up by a broken piece of mirror that she was holding. I didn't see Zenobius in that one. But he was in the one earlier when they were all having a celebration of sorts.

Do you believe he intended and caused harm?

[violetchaos]

I honestly don't know. Who was doing the attacking is unknown. Why they were attacking is an even bigger unknown.

What if this group is next?

[downswing]

We stand fragile and divided.

[violetchaos]

We stand stumbling and clueless. I've learned from some of you who have been here longer being that each new day brings on a new set of riddles to solve.

[downswing]

Have you a mind for riddle work?

[violetchaos]

Not really. Though I suppose one could be convinced to solve one if there was some kind of reward in it.
