[ it takes some time, but eventually Yennefer figures out how to use the widget she was given and starts a connection, which she wouldn't bother with if she hadn't experienced what she did with Eleven and Moiraine. so, she had some questions for the rest of the group.

unfortunately, she's all business and foregoes any proper introduction to those she has not yet had the privilege of meeting yet. ]

I'd start this out by asking if anyone has done any dream walking lately, but I think it only adds to the mounting list of fucked up things that have already been going on. So, I'll just ask if anyone has been lured up to the 11th floor by our strange and fatuous host and if so, what their experience was like.

[ That seems the best way to open things up. The conversation might not be received as well if she starts with informing everyone that her and her companions have done the reasonable thing by killing the twenty people sleeping on the 11th floor. ]

They weren't fully asleep.

Zenobius was tending to their personal care and we stayed to help. Things were going well enough until one of them grabbed hold of my arm. The next thing I know, I'm seeing her memories in a dream.

Turns out it happened to the other two, as well.

They would not rouse at all for me, though I sensed their sleep was... disturbed. What did you see in these memories?

[ now she has to wonder. The mark on her arm suggests the one that pulled her in physically did so. Yennefer decides the point is rather moot now. ]

The first was a man holding his arm to his chest. He had been attacked by something with sharp teeth and claws and was bleeding. Then a woman with short hair stood in front of several mirrors, all of which had different reflections.

And then I could see the other two I was with. There was a celebration. Nine sleepers and Zenobius.

[ wait, only nine? There are ten Sleepers... rather were. ]

[ Hmmm.

Interesting. ]

Several mirrors, all with different reflections. Could you discern what they were?

[ Different people? The same person, yet altered in some way? ]

It was still the same woman. In her reflection, she would have long hair or none at all; her hand would move more slowly than at the true speed she was moving it.

Oh, fuck. I don't even know why I even care. They're gone. What does it matter now?

It matters because their fate may help us understand events in the future.

You believe they are beyond saving?

[ Since you said gone. ]
