There is a great deal to discuss. Wrathion has provided much of the news that I have learned, but there are two further pieces of information that I feel is relevant. The last sacrifice to Sanwon was the child of Hyang-Won and Anui. She seems to have been from Waicai and while she moved past her beliefs, it never fully disappeared.

When the volcano started to heat again and it was time for someone to go, she gave her child. He was the last sacrifice. She waited until Hyang-Won was at hunt. When he returned and found his son gone, he was frantic and angry. He disappeared into the woods where a man that Hyang-Tai calls 'the Traveler' followed to calm him. It's not known what was spoken of, but apparently when Hyang-Won returned, he was changed, as were his beasts. They became as they are now. Not creatures of the woods.

Anui was gone and the villages were quiet. I think it may be possible that whatever curses this place is related to that and perhaps to the traveler. He is the reason for the House of Ravens, those that go in but never come out.

It might be possible to find a way to undo this curse, as we have had to undo the curses of ancestors here, but I am not certain how.

I do ask that someone accompany me to the House of Ravens, but only those that may wish to know more. I made a promise that I must fulfill and it may offer more answers.

I didn't realize how close you two were.

The dragons or dragon-like creatures in my world tend to be more...
demonic in nature,
so I haven't seen many that willingly and happily bond with humans,
but I'm glad you were able to find a child in yours.

[ He thinks he has some fair reasons for being wary about them even with her grand endorsement. ]

Dragons are different in my world. I'm Valyrian, which means that I'm descended from a House with the ability to claim and ride dragons. They are part of our blood.

Or were. The dragons had slowly died out until recently. My dragon is the first that my world has seen in centuries.

[incantates]

A whole clan of dragon-riders.
That's a first for me.
What does it even take to ride one? Just dragon blood?

I wish I could exactly explain it. I suppose, first taming the dragon, but they choose their riders. It is a bond of sorts, one that's drawn between our souls. I have only rode my dragon once and how I managed, I had to learn on my own.

Ask whatever you wish. I will give as good an answer as I can.

I have had to learn without family or help.

I'll keep that in mind if I come across a
masterless dragon who wouldn't mind giving a meandering warlock a lift
and doesn't automatically assume I'm its dinner.

In exchange for the dragon education, I'm sure I could help you in return.
I suppose I could help you track your child if you have any of his possessions or scales.

To be fair, even in taming Drogon, he reacted as a dragon often does. It was some sort of magic that worked between us, perhaps because our blood is connected or something greater. I wish I could say.

I know though that there stories about non Valyrians who were able to tame a dragon. It might be something the dragon senses in you? They are smarter than you might think.

I'm afraid I don't have anything of his at the moment. His scales haven't shed that much here.

I still wouldn't hold my breath about it
happening any time soon,
but you'll be the first to know if I do happen to make friends with a wayward dragon.

And I can also try using your bond or link to the dragon to find him,
assuming there's anything magical about it I could tap into.
