For those who have heard of and are trying to find the snake-woman some villagers have mentioned, I have some information: it seems she is a "mother" and is looking for her child.

I do not know what she is and what her child looks like and I also do not know if she is dangerous, but given she prefers to flee than to attack, I suppose that says something about her. [ but then again, a lot of people wouldn't care, would they? She looks different and that's often good enough.

But Kaneki is not about to go on a moral rant about this ]

You can do as you wish with this information, naturally. [ he will judge you if you decide to hunt her ] But if anyone wishes to help her, I'd like to try finding her child or aid her somehow.

[ why, you ask? because Kaneki has shit loads of mommy issues that's why. ]

I suppose the first question is, what is her natural shape? Is her current form some manner of curse, since this village is so fond of curses, or the way she was born? Easier to find a child if you know what shape it takes.

Unfortunately, I do not have any information on her besides what I shared. I hoped others could aid me finding out more.

I am currently leaving her food in the places she has been sighted, but I'm open to other suggestions.

You clearly had a source of information to get this much. Perhaps they might know more?

Yes, I did. This is all they knew, though.[ honestly? Kaneki would rather if nobody went there and bothered the witches, since he is spending a lot of time there himself and that's the only place he can get some food in peace ]

In all fairness, they mocked the creature, too, so I doubt they wish to help in any way.

It's little wonder she runs. I recall hearing she had been spotted in wells. Perhaps she is related to the appearance of dark waters? I wonder if her child drowned.

She is not human and is hunted by others. Her actions are not surprising, neither is her fear.

But it could be related, yes. I haven't tried learning more about the well-system yet, neither explored the end of the wells, but there could be some clues. I'm okay going down one, if I must. [ it could be dangerous and yet Kaneki does not care ]

... Another lost spirit. Why are they so many of them here? This place feels like it's under the weight of a thousand curses. What have those people done to warrant this?

I have been wondering the same. There are curses everywhere: cursed beings, curses on new arrivals and curses on old arrivals.

Perhaps people being here is the reason why this is warranted.

earlier in Ellethia it felt like the land itself was cursed. This feels more like the people are...

And they don't seem to mind all that much.

No, they are giving curses away. I'm not entirely sure how that works, but-- they seem to prefer to have these curses around. [ how has no one thought it's weird as hell to give newcomers curses for them to atone? ]

It's really strange.

Although I guess they probably have lived this way for generations, most of them might not even remember anything different. Back in Sa-Hareth, the stories wend back a few hundred years. No one alive remembered what it was like before.

Sounds like she might be more scared of us than us of her. How did you find out about this?

[ Kaneki doesn't want to share his source and risk having everyone visit said source... mostly because he likes to hang around there without being bothered by the rest of the group.

Near the wells, but villagers all point to different places.

From what I understand they claim she is stealing human children for herself, but I'm wondering if what happened to those children may have happened to hers.

What, as if she is taking the children in revenge? Or as if something else is stealing them?
