[the video shows a very close up angle of her face, because someone hasn't bothered taking the pendant off to film this. there is a thin balance between amusement and panic on her face, too. she draws in a breath and:]

May have made a mistake.

[from beyond the video, a bird interrupts her confession almost on cue:]

CA-CAW

[she angles the video quickly to a murder of about ten crows in the grass, at her feet, looking up at her. she brings the video back to her face.]

Umm. I fed one. It followed me three days ago, and I had some biscuits in my bag, and I unthinkingly fed it. The next day it brought two friends over. The next day, they also brought friends over. [it's a pyramic scheme of crows.] And now this. [there's a bit more caw-ing in the background, and the camera shakes while she moves to clearly feed them again, because she doesn't know any better.]

Also one swooped down to nip at a villager's hat today because he was looking at me, so I think I might have a murder. Of crows. On my hands. [she's secretly pleased with that wordplay.]

I did not know! What was he called? Also, what in the worlds is a kneazle?

[it's not as though she hasn't thought of him since sending him off with her parents to australia. it's not as if she doesn't miss her big, wonderful cat just as much as she misses mum and dad.

and maybe, to an extent, she had a flashing thought of crows are quite feline, oddly enough that prompted her feeding biscuits (stale and stolen from taravast) to a whole murder of them. maybe.

there's a nostalgic smile in her tone.]

Crookshanks - that was his name. A kneazle is a magical creature. They're meant to be bigger, more predatorial and vaguely resemble a cat. They look more like mountain lions, though. Well, Crooks was part-kneazle, so I think someone managed to get a full kneazle and a domesticated cat to...you know.

Size-wise they're like...not a tiger cub, but not a full-fledged adult either.

You should use your imagination to picture it, but yes. A mid-way. [She has not seen a tiger herself, outside of books or zoos, but even that was ages ago.

So let's not assume.] Definitely bigger than a fox.
