video | un: stormborn (and Drogon)
[She's at least more cleaned up than her arrival. Some of her hair is starting to grow back, but its still at that fuzz stage. Her burns have at least scabbed over and look less angry. Dany also is a bit more cheerful than before, mostly because she can come and go as she pleases and no one is looking to stop her.
Happy Dany means a happy Drogon, curled around her neck and trying to sleep despite his mother's unprompted video. Now that she finally has the hang of this, she can do a few of the things that had been on her mind.]
Good day. [There's a small rumble and hiss from Drogon as smoke curls from his nose. She places her hand on his head.] I'm in need of some volunteers today. It's a bit difficult when I'm still learning my way, it means I must still rely upon others for help. Given what is needed today, it would be much appreciated if I could acquire any that are strong, skilled in arms and with their hands, as well as any that know more delicate arts such as sewing.
First, I am looking to organize a small group to join me in a mission of good work. There are a number of homes and businesses that need repairs and the more volunteers means the sooner they can be habitable again. Many of the refugees and sick need blankets and fresh clothes. I know that Lady Vannozza meant to make a donation, but active work like this is no less important. If anyone wishes to join me in making bread or soup for them as well, I know it would be appreciated.
[She's a bit sheepish with this last request.]
I mean as well to venture a bit further out of the Citadel as well and would appreciate another with a weapon, as I lost mine in coming to this world. My dragon is too confined at times in the city and he needs room to fly and hunt.
[Which is the excuse, not the real reason.]
I'd like to at least get a look at the Undead, to see the threat for myself.
Thank you.

I miss my Silver. She was fast like the wind and could jump fire pits.

I cannot promise you a mare with a matching coat, but if you want swift, we can find swift.
no subject
Swift will be enough. To see the undead, we will want to travel along higher ground. It will grant us better perspective.

(He smiles, bright and fierce.)
Did your Dothraki Khal treat you well?
(The logic earns a nod and he reveals that he is on the move, searching out the biggest stable for the best choices.)

[She still feels his loss, even as her dragons comforted her and her heart moved forward. She wasn't the same woman she was at his side and she knew it.]
I have my own horde now. I'm Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea.

(Will that happen with - No. Why would it? They've only be separated for awhile.
What has Hector ever done to me?)And you lead them well. You remind me of the Amazons, but gentler.
no subject
[Which is a comfort to say, though she never gave her heart to the horse god of the Dothraki.]
Are the Amazons fearsome? I would like to be a brave warrior.

(A deserving afterlife for a mighty Khaleesi. To hell with the circumstances and people who led to their deaths. If they stood here with them, he would cut them down.)
I have heard tales that they are undefeated. If you are serious, I can begin lessons.

First we build up the strength of your arms.

[She gave her arm a pinch, the skin far too soft for her liking in this case.]
I have been building some strength during my work in the city, helping with repairs.

(The muscles need to be accustomed to movement - not just lifting dead weights.)
Be gentle with yourself. When bodies are overtaxed, they are useless.

[His concern for her is genuinely touching, as is his patience.]
I know that if I'm injured, I can rely on you to help me.

(Chiron had taught him, rarely leaving his side until lessons were cemented into his bones and tendons.)
I will. I am no healer, but I will not balk at wounds.
no subject
[Not how he tended her feet or how gentle he had been with her. He's earned her gratitude and care.]
Have you seen the Undead?
no subject
(Just in case she thinks otherwise. Look at him being courteous?)
From a distance. They move strangely.
no subject
[And she's taking that for a compliment. What woman doesn't want to hear that her feet aren't terrifying?]
Strangely? How so?
no subject
(Like the rest of her! Every single woman who has ever walked the planet (any planet) wants to hear their feet aren't terrifying, he's sure of it.)
Have you ever seen someone walk in their sleep?
no subject
They wobble?
[That's the only thing she can think to describe it.]
