video | un: stormborn (and Drogon)
[She's at least more cleaned up than her arrival. Some of her hair is starting to grow back, but its still at that fuzz stage. Her burns have at least scabbed over and look less angry. Dany also is a bit more cheerful than before, mostly because she can come and go as she pleases and no one is looking to stop her.
Happy Dany means a happy Drogon, curled around her neck and trying to sleep despite his mother's unprompted video. Now that she finally has the hang of this, she can do a few of the things that had been on her mind.]
Good day. [There's a small rumble and hiss from Drogon as smoke curls from his nose. She places her hand on his head.] I'm in need of some volunteers today. It's a bit difficult when I'm still learning my way, it means I must still rely upon others for help. Given what is needed today, it would be much appreciated if I could acquire any that are strong, skilled in arms and with their hands, as well as any that know more delicate arts such as sewing.
First, I am looking to organize a small group to join me in a mission of good work. There are a number of homes and businesses that need repairs and the more volunteers means the sooner they can be habitable again. Many of the refugees and sick need blankets and fresh clothes. I know that Lady Vannozza meant to make a donation, but active work like this is no less important. If anyone wishes to join me in making bread or soup for them as well, I know it would be appreciated.
[She's a bit sheepish with this last request.]
I mean as well to venture a bit further out of the Citadel as well and would appreciate another with a weapon, as I lost mine in coming to this world. My dragon is too confined at times in the city and he needs room to fly and hunt.
[Which is the excuse, not the real reason.]
I'd like to at least get a look at the Undead, to see the threat for myself.
Thank you.

She's glad the dragon isn't as big as he used to be, in this case... Especially if he has a temper. ]
I admit to lacking knowledge of dragons and their natures, beyond stories told in childhood. I never thought to look more deeply into them, though now I wish I had. No doubt having their size altered would upset any arrival, however, so I offer my sympathies on such a matter. If you can promise he won't endanger those we seek to help due to this temper, then I will trust you.
Shall we meet upon your safe return, then? I am certain help will still be welcome.

I can promise you that I will do all I can to not let him hurt anyone. He obeys more than he used to and I have taken him out several times since arriving. The people know him and don't crowd him as they did when we were brought here.
Of course. There is an offer for someone to accompany me. Tomorrow might be the best time for us to meet?

Tomorrow will find me ready to greet you with what little we can carry between us, and give me time to make request of the kitchens. If you ask for Alayne at the entrance to Macaluso's wing, I will not keep you waiting.
Action; time skip!
She wasn't exactly a queen or a queenly looking claimant. She seemed better suited to the desert, happily roasting meat over a fire before rolling in the dirt. This was the daughter of the Mad King and the last Targaryen.
Uncertain if the young woman approaching is Alayne, Dany stays seated on the floor, shifting her arms as Drogon moved about. Claws dug into her skin, but she didn't seem to notice or mind.]
Are you Alayne?
Re: Action; time skip!
She keeps one eye always on the dragon. The woman had not been particularly reassuring in her claims to 'try' to keep him well behaved. ]
You are keen of eye, my lady. I am glad to witness you return in what I hope is good health. How does this day find you?

Once I surveyed what I needed, we retreated without being seen.
[She now at least had a better idea of this army, how they would fight and their numbers. It was more invaluable than relying on others to pain the picture in her mind.]
The day has been...quiet. I'm not very used to quiet or idleness. But tell me of yourself and your day?

Her laugh is quick to die when the dragon draws her attention again, however, and nerves cause her to shift on her feet and keep a respectful distance from this self-proclaimed queen who also pretends not to be a queen. Alayne still isn't certain how she's meant to act around her, but she must not be careless with her behavior, that much is certain. The dragon may be small, but he might still be able to burn her to a crisp. ]
I am accustomed to a greater quiet than what one can find here, but I admit my day has not held much excitement. I have mostly been near the kitchens, sweetening the ears of the cooks so they are more like to spare what bread and cheese they may. I can at least promise that you will not be idle for long if you still wish to assist me in my errands. Are you certain you are not too weary from your journey?

It wasn't uncommon for people to draw back away from the dragon and caution was always wise in this case. She wouldn't fault Alayne for being wary. If anything, she showed more intelligence than a number of people in the city who tried to touch or hold Drogon.]
I would say you spent your day well then. Any extra food means one more empty belly filled. [She gave a small laugh.] I've walked farther than the distance we traveled and with less supplies. This was a simple reconnaissance mission. So long as you have a care, it isn't that terrible. I counted a large number of troops though. Do you know if they add to their numbers by summoning others?
[Maybe Alayne wouldn't know, but without asking, she'd never know.]
Come. I'm eager to start.
