There's something terrible about this menu.

I just served someone ham and eggs and now they're laughing. For no good reason. When I told him to shut up, he just kept laughing. Yesterday, while serving food in the second-class car, someone ate a pancake and started crying. He had food, what was he complaining about?

And it wasn't even the terrible dishes, like that cheese dish— camembert in aspic. That looks like something to cry over, not pancakes and syrup.

Don't eat the eggs. There's some surprise mash served in the first-class dining cart that I wouldn't serve my dog. And what the hell is brown soup? Frothed wine soup? That just seems like a waste of good wine.

I'll just show you instead. Don't eat anything crossed out. I've taken to making most of my food instead of attempting to eat this. There are no proper meals here, beyond one decent rice dish served for tea. Try that, if you're hungry.

For the other meals, don't eat anything crossed out. It's awful.

Syrup is nothing to cry over.

[He agrees heartily as someone with a sweet tooth.]

Though we should try not to waste food.

Definitely not syrup.

If they are hungry, I suppose anything would do.

But perhaps if people eat it in smaller amounts it doesn't have to be wasted.

Neither do I.

[Emotions being manipulated like that is unsettling and seemed very unfair for those suffering from it.]

Are you getting enough to eat?
