I pointed out having feet isn't exactly a defining feature, but to him, the answer was clear.

Perhaps not.

People believe it may provide some clarity on the mystery surrounding her, including clearing the king's name from the rumors circulating about his involvement in her disappearance. Strengthen his ties to the throne. I do not know if finding her is worth that, however.

Do we really care about his throne?

[ She's in favor of activism, but why invest here? They can't plan on settling. ]

She might know what happened to the prince.

[ More and more she's starting to suspect her of being Haiva's mysterious more-than-a friend who gave him the shiny trinket he claims improved his health. But the trinket's only done half a job, as far as she can tell. She can't help wondering if that's intentional. ]

I believe the concern is more that solving who has the best claim to the throne would also prevent some of the in-fighting that has been occurring between the troops, uniting them as a more solid front against the opposition.

( But no, the group should not care very much about who ends up in charge. It's not as if they will be there for the consequences of that choice. )
