For those particularly in the southern tower, assisting with the frost wrym, the small issue of gravity has been discussed. I can enchant items to slow your descent, either involuntary from the tower itself or -- as your preference -- onto the wrym should you so choose. They are not intended as single use, but depending on the quality of my reagents there may be periods where it requires time to recharge. Gemstones usually hold the most effective enchantments, but the setting can be... personalised to suit requirements
If you can find another constructive use beyond the frost wyrm, I am willing to make several. I have not seen the harpies personally, but should their tactics include aggressive attempts to unseat members of that tower, and falling is a risk... the same offer applies.
I will need decent quality stones to hold the enchantment and allow it to be used repeatedly, and potentially other ingredients. I believe some of our party has access to the mines and merchants, so any assistance with sourcing supplies would be appreciated.
On a separate note, Deimar's missing paramour: I recently learned that when she rode out of the city, her pursuer was on a horse from the royal stables. Dressed well, with long fair hair but a poor rider. Something to keep in mind.
[ ooc: Please drop a comment if you are interested in a slow fall trinket so I can keep track, as there's a limit to how many he will make! Not limited to tower members only, nor dragon assistants only -- although his initial instinct was to help with Irenia. If you'd like to have your character ask but prefer OOCly not to have one that can easily work. Also open to any OOC questions or planning on that post! ]

Private;
Private -> Action?
[ Long enough to let everyone know where he's going, then to file his way up and meet there. ]
Action!
( Mostly the Tower is empty at present. It seems like the dragon goes away for a bit if they manage to repel her enough times - probably to recover. The others assigned up here are getting their rest downstairs, but there are some guards on the way up.
She is currently keeping watch in case Irenia comes back while chewing on some food she brought up from the hall downstairs. )

As it turns out, he does take that sort of thing seriously.
Still, he closes the door carefully behind himself and studies her. His eyes dart out briefly around the area, but Irenia is keeping her distance. He pauses, moves closer to the edge and glances over. ]
It is a considerable way down, were you to fall.

( In the Underworld, it was never an issue really, because she healed so fast - attached to the realm itself as she was. She was also able to have a lot more control over it - just thinking was all it would take. Now it's more effortful and not always consistent, but she's gotten good at doing the initial shift from having so much practice up here. )
Magic's amazing honestly. I didn't even know someone could have the supremely cool ability to enchant items like that.
( Gods could do it, sure, but while his aura is incredibly powerful, she doesn't... think he's a god. )

[ She hadn't named it before, after all. Only told him she had another form that was bigger. He was imagining a bear, perhaps, but he couldn't quite be sure. He studies her a long moment, thoughtful. ]
Could you show me?
[ If she's comfortable. The name is unfamiliar, after all, but once she takes the form he might know it by another name. ]

( Red nods and then steps off to the middle of the Tower, making sure to give herself enough room though she doesn't plan to change into the huge version - just the one that's roughly wolf-ish size.
There's a whirl of magic - light of chilled blue, death, shadows, and Hades' power all wrapped into one. Where she once stood, there's Cerberus with its three heads and fire brimming at each mouth, broken, magical chains wrapped around one front paw. )

May I?
[ Perhaps he could make something that attaches to them? It seems best to ask politely before touching. ]

She appreciates his asking. Even after she'd already given permission for him to see her like this and to know all this, he could have assumed (most would have and that'd be okay), but it means something he didn't. )

Given the variation of your size, is this the biggest? I'm wondering if something you could attach to your chains would bypass the issue. The lack of thumbs would make it hard for you to manipulate anything, so it would have to be simple of course. Some strong magnetisation, maybe. It's either that or I do a size adjustment, but you would still need to get it down. Perhaps a two-section cuff, something that you could press your foot into and it snapped shut in response?
[ He squints in thought, backing off. ]
It might catch on your fur, of course.
[ Since it would likely have to be a... strong closing. ]

I think the chains should work actually. I didn't even think about that as an option - That's the usual size I manage. Sometimes bigger or smaller, but that's the most common.
( And she can avoid the window's edge if she is ever bigger or smaller than that. )
...you don't seem too surprised by any of that - the shifting and the rest of it. But you said druids in your world can shift too?

The Druids have an affinity for nature. In battle, they often take the form of enormous bears to better protect their friends. Feline shapes are common too, or deer for high speed creatures that can easily carry someone else. Hellhounds are a little more unusual, as a chosen form, but certainly get points for style.

( What. It's difficult for her head to wrap around that fact, that this could be something someone chose. Not something they were created to be, no tie-ins to death itself. It's not a form for her but who she is, what she is even if she struggles to put what she is to words. )

Natural shapeshifters can take any shape they desire, so long as they can imagine it.
[ Hellhound or not. Presumably, from this statement, she has never had any choice at all in hers. The human form too, perhaps? He wonders if that is simply as it is, not a choice. ]
no subject
...well, shit. That's pretty cool honestly.
( Those possibilities would be endless, and why not just imagine a hellhound to shift into then? ...or a dragon, or anything at all. )
Your world's magic sounds amazing.

[ Worlds with no magical at all seem... terribly dull. Imagine being a regular human being with no magic? In a world with absolutely no magic?! Who could even survive.
Still: ]
It's also useful for situations like this. I can work on a magnet and send you my results. If it turns out the size is not quite right or the magnetisation isn't strong enough, we can adjust.
