For those particularly in the southern tower, assisting with the frost wrym, the small issue of gravity has been discussed. I can enchant items to slow your descent, either involuntary from the tower itself or -- as your preference -- onto the wrym should you so choose. They are not intended as single use, but depending on the quality of my reagents there may be periods where it requires time to recharge. Gemstones usually hold the most effective enchantments, but the setting can be... personalised to suit requirements

If you can find another constructive use beyond the frost wyrm, I am willing to make several. I have not seen the harpies personally, but should their tactics include aggressive attempts to unseat members of that tower, and falling is a risk... the same offer applies.

I will need decent quality stones to hold the enchantment and allow it to be used repeatedly, and potentially other ingredients. I believe some of our party has access to the mines and merchants, so any assistance with sourcing supplies would be appreciated.

On a separate note, Deimar's missing paramour: I recently learned that when she rode out of the city, her pursuer was on a horse from the royal stables. Dressed well, with long fair hair but a poor rider. Something to keep in mind.

Are you volunteering to search for her? An excellent idea, she could well be in danger. I hear there are frequent clashes with the undead forces out there.

She was last seen riding into the forest that, unfortunately, appears to have quite a few of Rathakku's creatures in it. I'm sure a skilled tracker could evade them and tell us where she went from there, cardinal directions included.

Unsurprising, given the proximity to these 'seals' and everything they hold at bay. The result may be useful. The stones they mine may be absorbing traces of the magic used down there, rendering them powerful reagents.

Nothing else? I suppose a lack of body means we at least haven't confirmed her dead. However, we do have a local undead lord who could have raised her were that the case.

Finding her body could destabilize Deimar's rule and further weaken Alem. I think if Rathakku had found her, he'd make it known.

As noted, it won't let you ascend as a jetpack would -- but if you can still find a use for one here I am sure we could come to some arrangement.

That okay. Jetpacks help with falling too. Can magic fall help with falling far? Like when birds land? [The word he's looking for is 'glide', but writing is harder for him than speaking.]

It will slow your descent enough that you can manipulate direction on the way down, and land without taking any damage from the descent itself.

Shit. That's confusing, I know. I'm just not always the same size, and it'd help most if the item could change with my size or just stay on me regardless of what size I was or what form... I took.

But I really need it so I won't fall. And go splat.

It's certainly possible. I'd need an idea of the correct size, however, and of how your shift works. It would be considerably less useful for you if I misjudge and the whole thing breaks.

Not to get too personal, but it also would matter if it's a controlled change that reverts with your clothing or if you need to discard things so they don't rip.

It varies, but usually about the size of a horse or a really big wolf. I'm better at controlling the size now, but sometimes shit happens.

I don't have to take off my clothes, but I also don't wear the clothing in the other form. It's just gone, or maybe it's on me still somehow? When I shift back into my human-like form, I have the clothing on still. Maybe that means you could just make it to fit me, and it'd still work no matter the size I shift into, because it's technically still on me? ...helluva chance to take but I'd obviously test it out.

Do you have any natural magical affinity beyond this? Druids change in the same manner, and can often summon the magic of an item swallowed into their new form, but they are experience spellcasters. My only concern is that if your clothing is usually swallowed into the change, the item will be too regardless unless you remove it and put it back on.

Does your... 'non-human-like' form have fine motor skills?
