To those who know me not at all, or less well than others of our number do, I'm Wei Wuxian.

( hands lifted, he offers a polite, perfunctory sort of bow, paired to the clasping of fingers over the other hand's set. they drop out of frame, and he looks a touch more serious, dark eyes fathomless. or maybe it's all in the lighting. (the lack of proper lighting. torchlight keeps him flickering in reds and oranges.) )

The king mentioned Irenia in passing, the dragon? She was thieved away from a lord of death our group knows of, and has run into several times. His name's Anurr, he's the, ah, very slightly less horrible option for being enslaved by death lords, and from Sa-Hareth. Trailing after us with his creatures or his shifting loyalties, never trust his kind voice, Eleven can tell you about that! Five, I'm sure, can tell you more, as can Xie Lian, or Xiao Xingchen. All members of our group, as it were. Anyway!

( he claps his hands, and grins. a little crinkling around his eyes makes him almost seem truly merry, instead of merrily dry. )

Irenia lured far enough west can be called back to Anurr's dubious graces. Far enough east, and with a different strong pull on her mind, maybe, maybe we can free her. Either way, I recommend we do one or the other, because space to crash a being who never asked to be used as she is is limited, and using the keep itself in poor taste, as it defends this world from hell. Apparently. Very exciting stuff!

Possible with enough strength, but here it's difficult to keep one safe from another strong pull taking over their mind further down the road. I haven't had time or inclination to work on means that might prevent it, though if I must, I have a basis of resistance against such things to work with.

I see...[He grows quiet for a few moments, one hand on his chin.] So, they will remain susceptible to other influences. If...yes, if we could create something that would give them resistance...

[And then he looks embarrassed. Perhaps even a little startled. How does he explain things enough to help, but not enough to reveal himself?]

Ah...forgive me, I was - I was thinking aloud. I am...usually able to better channel aether. Power. It would...[Deflating a little.] ...be very helpful when dealing with a dragon.

I'm fully living, and I, tied as close to death as I've been, find it a struggle when these lords of death exert their influence at strength. Those like Irenia will find they have no natural resistance. I've crafted means to resist outside influences, but it's resistance, not the prevention of all.

( which is more to build on what he'd been saying while responding to what this person has said in turn. he smiles, briefly, shaking his head and lifting a hand to wave it in front of himself. )

No forgiveness granted, there's no harm done. Power is helpful dealing with any creature in this world. The dragon herself has a measure of it, all the dragons of this world have. I don't know how much of her mind is retained... I can guide and suggest and command, but I can't give back what's no longer there.

...I have a talisman with me that is meant to protect against corruption of the mind. It is...I do not know if it could be used for Irenia, but perhaps it could be helpful to us. [It won't be as per OOC discussions, but he doesn't know that yet.] Will you tell me more about what you have? Is it an item, or a spell...?

It's worth trying. Will you be able to get to her yourself, or see if Stephen can manage to portal you out at some moment after we've handled her ability to freeze with breath

I have not heard much of the plan so far. Perhaps you could fill me in?

It's being worked out here, so what it will be depends on how thoughts here do or don't see reality. But that I could predict the future! And how boring that would be.

( he sounds good natured for all of that, at least. )

Talk with Strange. And Wrathion. They've a better idea of what they believe they can do when in motion.
