To those who know me not at all, or less well than others of our number do, I'm Wei Wuxian.

( hands lifted, he offers a polite, perfunctory sort of bow, paired to the clasping of fingers over the other hand's set. they drop out of frame, and he looks a touch more serious, dark eyes fathomless. or maybe it's all in the lighting. (the lack of proper lighting. torchlight keeps him flickering in reds and oranges.) )

The king mentioned Irenia in passing, the dragon? She was thieved away from a lord of death our group knows of, and has run into several times. His name's Anurr, he's the, ah, very slightly less horrible option for being enslaved by death lords, and from Sa-Hareth. Trailing after us with his creatures or his shifting loyalties, never trust his kind voice, Eleven can tell you about that! Five, I'm sure, can tell you more, as can Xie Lian, or Xiao Xingchen. All members of our group, as it were. Anyway!

( he claps his hands, and grins. a little crinkling around his eyes makes him almost seem truly merry, instead of merrily dry. )

Irenia lured far enough west can be called back to Anurr's dubious graces. Far enough east, and with a different strong pull on her mind, maybe, maybe we can free her. Either way, I recommend we do one or the other, because space to crash a being who never asked to be used as she is is limited, and using the keep itself in poor taste, as it defends this world from hell. Apparently. Very exciting stuff!

A name I've heard before.

[ He doesn't know Anurr personally like some do. That's not to say that he'd trust a being like that. Then again he isn't one to trust lightly to begin with. ]

Do we have a means to free her?

Our best chance with that would very possibly rely on myself and Wrath having a brilliant idea taking over the bond, but it won't work without the remove to a distance. As long as Anurr isn't actually further east of us. There's a chance as soon as she's out of what he called the Claw's range, he'll have her either way.

You think, or you do?

It's one task in many that demand attention, but we're not necessary in the way that those who've fought the last year here have been. We have room for thrillingly risky theatrics, as long as it doesn't compromise the people here.

[ Not really! Though, he'd probably compare Anurr to a few people back home. Damn Disha. ]

So we find a way to entice her in a direction that you two need and Anurr doesn't. We find a way to keep them as separated as possible.

( he clucks his tongue, but part of him is amused to be talking like this with a man who looks so much like lan zhan when he's still, and so little like him simply being himself. )

Rathkar ( whatever his name is, wei wuxian is not inclined to caring so much as knowing It Has A Name ) is the first challenge. Anurr claims Irenia is witty, and likes meat, so luring is half challenge, half irritation, half food bribe, half faked injury, and people being able to fly.

There's really no way around that part. Aside from her, have those of you in the towers witnessed any other flying dangers?

[ There's a slight smirk out of Xie Yun and he gives a nod. He's long since gotten used to the amusement of others when it comes to him and his not-brother. His wife's reaction had been rather amusing when she'd been there too. ]

Qinggong can go a long way.

[ It wasn't flying but it could be used in dangerous situations. And he, himself, is very light in his qinggong. There's always finding a way to wire-walk too, if the need arose. ]

I haven't witnessed any other flying dangers as of yet. That doesn't mean we're not keeping an eye out for them though.

Or else it wouldn't be an issue, that isn't a skill I lack, whatever else changed. I'm more wondering if those of us who bonded with the dragons given life again in Serthica will need to call on them to assist in the task here.

[ There are quite a few of them with excellent qinggong skills. Some can go further distances than others but Wei Wuxian isn't wrong. It's not long enough for what they want or need. ]

I'm sure if we called on them that they would assist us in our time of need.

[ Or be their downfall, or both. ]

We should keep that in mind in case we do need to call on them.

[ How far out could that bond be felt? ]

More for their travel time. They'll move faster than we did, by being in air, but it still takes time and energy and the potential cost of their safety to respond. We need to be sure of a plan before we ask for anything like that from those whose lives were just returned to them.

Do you think Raksurit has more finesse and strength of will than Anurr?

The Huntress cried me into dancing after. Anurr's command would have unmade more of me than that.

We'll be careful. They should, honestly, be our last resort.

[ That way they don't hinder the lives that were returned just to have them taken away. ]

If you need anything, though, don't hesitate to ask.

[ Whether it be forging, food, or anything else. Like the blue cloak he'd given Wei Wuxian when the other had been running from the damnable bear. ]

It may, yes. If Wrath or I were to try and intervene, it's likely we'd have to stay with her, or I suspect and expect she'd return as a pigeon does to the roost.

We need too much, we have too little to negotiate with. Do what you can to get in their better graces. Understanding how their seals work, what needs to happen and what needs not to happen before the lord Ruthbert sweeps in after everyone's exit.

I don't think Anurr needs to have a dragon. He's strong enough as he is.
