( the voice that comes across the network sounds a bit tired, masking the exhaustion with a bored tone. )
Hunger.
Gods forgive me.
Eat, eat, eat.
( the voice pauses here, a bit of shuffling as they lean back and pull their quartz with them to finish the recording. ) What do you know of what happened in the salt mines outside the citadel? I found those words when I woke. Before I left them. They don't seem to happy.
( they lick their lips and sigh ) Speaking of hungry. Does anyone have food that's not fish? Or at least not cod.

I- where are you? Are you okay?
no subject
I'm at the farmhouse. A nice gentleman with a goat sent me here.
no subject
But okay, I'll- there isn't much, some millet and a bit of turnip right now. You only just found yourself here?
no subject
No goat? I'm really craving goat... Ah well.
But yes. I woke up this morning in caves and now I'm on a haunted farmhouse.

[He sounds equal parts astonished and impressed]
Well, anyway, I'm glad you made it here. To answer your question, the undead warlords of this world- or region, anyway- often like to turn the dead or dying into their subordinates.
no subject
You didn't know?
That's interesting about the lords. What lord fights for the living?
no subject
No one fights for the living, right now. ..At least, no significant force that we're aware of. Even the living citizens of Sa-Hareth- the city- seem to be supporting Anurr's undead mostly, from what I've heard. I think this fight must be so old that they've lost all hope that it will ever change.
no subject
I wonder if there ever was another. It's strange that there wouldn't have been.
Ah well, in the meant time this Unhalad and Anurr are who we have. What are your opinions of them?
no subject
[That's. Yep. The whole of Eleven's political stance right there]

My view is that the dead should be left in peace, their souls free, not.. corrupted or enslaved, so I can't say I'm in favor of either.
no subject
I'm surprised more people don't subscribe to that belief here. But maybe their souls are so beaten that they cling to whichever lord is left standing.
no subject
They're just desperate, trying to look out for themselves, their family.
no subject
It's certainly not pretty.

[A breath.]
..You said you were hungry?

no subject
Well, you'd have to talk to Haltham about that. We have a few livestock, but they're too few to eat. Millet, we're growing turnips and beets despite the weather, and sometimes an egg will have to do for now. For actual food, you'd need to have coin and purchase it in town.
no subject
It'll have to do.
no subject
My name is Eleven. ..Please don't ask if I have ten siblings.
no subject
Ery suits me enough.
no subject
Did anyone else wake with you?
no subject
But no, it was only me in the mines.
no subject
Well I'm glad you're all right. You'll need to be careful of the wolves and the whispers from the forest at night.
