un: drenched kitten of heated purrs, voice;

It has come to my attention that some of us have had more difficulty earning coin in the city than others.

[ Translation: He's broke as fuck and can't pay the portion that Mingyu mentioned in his last post that they would be expected to. ]

My companion Ylsa has informed me that the fur and beast trade in this city can bring coin, and has reluctantly agreed to accompany me outside the city to hunt. If any of you have similar skills and have yet to make your contribution to our shared cause, you are welcome to join us, but I must insist that you are capable of handling yourself not only with the hunt, but with any deathless that we may come upon outside the city. This is not a risk-less venture, and I have no intention of allowing anyone to put themselves in harm's way unnecessarily. So no, there will be no training on the hunt, at this time. If you wish to train, we can do so here in the House.

If anyone requires furs or skins to make warm weather clothing - and if you do not have them yet, you will need them - you may request them for a far smaller sum from us than you would find on the market. [ A pause: ]

And that includes you, ladies, as thanks for your gracious hospitality.

[ There's a tittering over the channel that indicates that someone, at least, is listening. ]

Also - I think it may be wise for all of us to meet. In person. At once. Mingyu's step toward organization was a wise one, but from the moment we arrived here we became brothers in arms. Our survival and our success will rely solely on each other, and that requires knowledge and trust.

I expect most of you will agree.

Unfortunately, I'm afraid I'm a little useless in a true fight, but I'll wish you the best of luck! I'll have to find some other way to help you out with the hunts. [Mend clothes? Maybe?? Who knows. Enjoy embroidered flowers randomly in you shirts.]

Meeting up in person sounds logical, at least. Hopefully some won't take it as a challenge or anything... It'd be nice to all be on the same page, so to speak.

I haven't tried before, truthfully. But I'm a very quick learner. If I could find someone to show me how to make a garment, I'm sure I could replicate it soon enough.

[Unfortunately she's not great at creating things she imagines up herself, but following instructions to a T? She can do that.

The question makes her laugh a little
] No, no, not really. But people often don't like admitting they need others, for some reason. I'm sure there's at least one or two of those types who will scoff at the idea of needing to work together.

'I can do it just fine on my own, I don't need their help!' And then they bumble along into something terrible that will impact everyone else because they think they know better.

[Studying that could be fun, she decides, or at least interesting enough to give her some new skills, which is always nice. She'll find someone and figure it out.]

It should. [She can agree with that] That's a very logical and practical way of looking at things. [And her tone seems to carry a bit of, 'good job!' enthusiasm that he's recognized that]

Unfortunately, people and their emotions are hardly ever logical. I'm sure you'll find a couple people who will either defy this, or very reluctantly agree to it. [Cheerily she adds:] But! Reluctant or not, so long as everyone pools their resources together and helps out, a little reluctance is hardly something to worry much about.

I'm just saying don't be too surprised if your good, logical intentions are met with resistance regardless. You seem to be a perfectly fine young man, and I'd hate to see you discouraged.
