un: drenched kitten of heated purrs, voice;
It has come to my attention that some of us have had more difficulty earning coin in the city than others.
[ Translation: He's broke as fuck and can't pay the portion that Mingyu mentioned in his last post that they would be expected to. ]
My companion Ylsa has informed me that the fur and beast trade in this city can bring coin, and has reluctantly agreed to accompany me outside the city to hunt. If any of you have similar skills and have yet to make your contribution to our shared cause, you are welcome to join us, but I must insist that you are capable of handling yourself not only with the hunt, but with any deathless that we may come upon outside the city. This is not a risk-less venture, and I have no intention of allowing anyone to put themselves in harm's way unnecessarily. So no, there will be no training on the hunt, at this time. If you wish to train, we can do so here in the House.
If anyone requires furs or skins to make warm weather clothing - and if you do not have them yet, you will need them - you may request them for a far smaller sum from us than you would find on the market. [ A pause: ]
And that includes you, ladies, as thanks for your gracious hospitality.
[ There's a tittering over the channel that indicates that someone, at least, is listening. ]
Also - I think it may be wise for all of us to meet. In person. At once. Mingyu's step toward organization was a wise one, but from the moment we arrived here we became brothers in arms. Our survival and our success will rely solely on each other, and that requires knowledge and trust.
I expect most of you will agree.

Our old rule?
If you mean my vow, I have no intention of breaking it.
no subject
I meant no heroic gestures, seeing as I don't hate you.
no subject
[ There's kind of a weird tension to his voice, though. He clears his throat. ]
This is not a venture for heroism, I assure you. You need not be concerned for your unhated.

( 'You have his sword.' Conditionally. )

There are a few beasts Ylsa has told me of that would not hesistate to injure animal or man - we can save our swords for them.
There is a type of deer, however, that they use here as livestock. If it is possible to bring some back, they may be worth far more than their hides would have been.

( You are not eating them either. )
no subject
[ They probably eat some of them too, Wangji, but he will not press that on your delicate sensibilities. ]
Would that suit?

It's encouraging that at least some our number have a lick of common sense on occasion.
I have time. Share your schedule for this hunting venture if you would.

It will depend on the size of the party, but we hope to make multiple trips, if the first is successful. Ideally we would leave before dawn, and return at sunset, or just before.
Staying overnight in the tundra with roaming deathless is not wise, but may end up necessary, and we should prepare for the eventuality.

Forget the deathless, the cold could just as well get us in that case. [ grimacing ] But I suppose we'll manage. I shall plan for at least the one trip, then. If we have mishaps on the journey, I can take care of any injuries as well. [ you might not enjoy it, mind you, but he's good at what he does. ]

As well, a meeting sounds nice. When would we have it?
Voice;
Soon, I hope. When we can find a time that all of us can attend.

whores courtesans among them. ]There are some who primarily work in the evenings.
I suggest a morning would be more likely to be amenable.

Meeting up in person sounds logical, at least. Hopefully some won't take it as a challenge or anything... It'd be nice to all be on the same page, so to speak.

If you can mend garments, are you capable of creating them?
A challenge? Is meeting face to face something to be interpreted as a threat?

[Unfortunately she's not great at creating things she imagines up herself, but following instructions to a T? She can do that.
The question makes her laugh a little] No, no, not really. But people often don't like admitting they need others, for some reason. I'm sure there's at least one or two of those types who will scoff at the idea of needing to work together.
'I can do it just fine on my own, I don't need their help!' And then they bumble along into something terrible that will impact everyone else because they think they know better.

Anyway, I think it's a good idea if we all meet, for sure.
