You've mentioned being a 'clone' a few times, I think. What does that mean?

You've got that right.

'Clone' means I'm grown from a template. No parents, just a man who let the Galactic Republic make thousands of identical kids in jars. We grow up to look just like him.

They tweaked us, though. We're not quite standard humans.

My nephew can make 'clones' of himself, I guess you would call them, then, but they are just perfect copies of himself he can make appear and disappear at will.

If the Republic could do that, they would. Hells, they'd probably do that to us too, just switch us off. It'd be cheaper than having to feed us. ...And they already cheap out on that too.

Well, he can only maintain them for a very short amount of time. Star Master abilities have limits for good reason.

Essentially, they are all him. They are just exact copies that exist for a few minutes, but they are him.

They're illusions. Well-crafted, solid illusions, but illusions nonetheless.

Indeed, that would be problematic in many ways, but it is not what is happening. He is not creating new life, just... multiplying himself for a short while.

And using it for mischief a lot.
