A question, what to do with a massive ammount of magical weapons that were supposedly intended for the undead and intercepted by agents of Macaluso.

Advice appreciated.

A group of 'raiders' ambushed us. There was a fight and we were sent back in a rush. It was rather hard to keep track of as neither of us quite knew why we were there in the first place.

You don't think they might not be useful in the future? Some of them have interesting properties.

I'm sure they have all kinds of interesting properties. Any indication that they have markers? Can be traced or tracked? Are any of them or their containers cursed? Weapons going missing when neither side ends up in possession is worth investigating, and whatever you used to bring them back in will show that some weight was borne back to the city, ah?

Keep what is personally useful to each of you. Get rid of the rest. That would be my recommendation, no matter how exciting or enticing they are! Mostly as we're still in this citadel, instead of currently fleeing into the night away from it.

We don't have the beacon yet. We need that, more than we need these interesting properties, sad to say.

There is nothing on them that I can tell, which would make sense for such a trade. And of course, there would be signs of weight for the thing that carried them the whole time.

I don't know what we have and don't have as a collective. I was lacking everything when I arrived here, which is why I'm asking now.

How would you tell that sort of thing?

A tracker can view the depth of tracks to ascertain the weight carried by whatever caused those tracks. A wagon leaving and a wagon returning with similar depth of tracks indicates more than many suspect.

What about when there are many tracks in general?

It was lighter when it returned anyway.

Trackers need only see what they find. One can guess directions, after a point.

Light enough for a shipment of weapons to not be present?

Light enough to have lost more than 75% of it's load.

The wagon itself is also disposed of.

Some good news! Also, what else did that wagon carry to have lost more weight than weapons bulk would account for?

Supplies for the trip. There were a number of others, but they stayed behind to fight the ambush.

Asking for myself, but Master Shen, have you actually... transported weaponry before? Human weight is not minimal either, but the wagon will still show how deep it rides for carrying metal, unless there were so few weapons this was more like a singular cache being distributed. Which it could be, I just imagined something more substantial.

Why would I have ever transported weapons before? I don't even know why they dragged me out for it.

The amount was, not for an army. Though before fully returning most of the items were stored away with weightlessness. So only two of us were more or less in the cart on the return.

Not knowing your life's story, Master Shen, I can only imagine there are many reasons one might.

At what point did this storing happen? How far outside the citadel?

I was removing them as we left, though perhaps about... forty minutes away?

Weapons are a tool. People are a faith. Have faith, Master Shen. Excess in tools are not what will grant better security to the unsettled.

And people with no tools have little to use as leverage. Though I feel better having a sword again.

Still, in this world are we not relying heavily on others and can do nothing about their whims? I arrived here with nothing in burial clothing....
