Sweet Lily of the Hidden Valley:

I used to travel with a lot of companions. It took awhile to grow used to each other, but since we're stuck down here tonight, I've thought of a few things we could talk about to pass the time and maybe help us work together better. Whatever anyone is comfortable with answering of course.

What is your home world like?

What kind of skills or abilities do you have?

Good ways to make money here, or unique supplies we might need?

Who isn't expecting to get a weapon and needs one? I have a few lumps of ore now if ever I can get to the forges..

Usually. I like to think they're decent quality.

I could do armor too, if I had enough material.

[ Well, that's at least a practical skill. Never mind that Five didn't answer any of his other questions, he's like that. ]

Assuming you can navigate the forges... [ He's still under the impression that time is of the essence here, but he won't pass up an opportunity. ] How long does that usually take? For what you have on hand.

That would depend on what I'm forging, but I would estimate a day and a half for the length of a sword. Less for a knife. It's the cooling process that takes the most time.

[ Knives and swords. He could probably steal as much if he were so inclined. Call him curious, then, what someone like him could do. ]

Something with a bit of length to it is probably a good idea. [ If decapitation is the goal. He definitely wrote that down. ] What's your price?

That you use it in defense of yourself and others. Is a sword what you would prefer, then?

[ Generally, no. But right now -- ]

Since you're offering. [ With no questions asked. That should be suspicious. ]

..Assuming I can access the forges for long enough at some point, anyway. I'm keeping a close eye on them for an opportunity, but they're too heavily guarded as it stands.

[ Hm. He's talking to someone who can teleport right past them, but still. How involved does he want to be, when this could be more effort than it's worth... Not to mention they could already be listening to everything they say. ]

How heavily? You realize asking for two days undisturbed is going to be a problem.

Yes. But the guard might be higher because of our escape. We have some time to wait still. If it gets too close, then I could try slightly more drastic measures, but I hope it won't be necessary.

[Though that is a long time, so he might have to anyway]

Drastic measures. What do you know about those?

[ He's already overheard the 'hero' talk, which... he's a little familiar with that game. He'd like to see what's willing to do to get a few extra weapons to strangers.

So to use the words of the dearly departed: elaborate. ]

[He's a little flustered, as sneaky plans aren't something he's usually trying to come up with. That honor goes to the former thief in his band.]

I thought maybe I could claim to be an apprentice working to help catch up on orders under one of the blacksmiths. Possibly try to use some sleep magic if it seemed prudent.

[ That sounds about as naive and innocent as he was expecting, which just seems to highlight how different their minds work. Which doesn't mean it's terrible. ]

That could work. I haven't run into anyone who seemed particularly bright. [ More importantly -- ] Sleep magic? That's something you do?

Yes. It doesn't always work, but I can usually get it to after a few casts. I believe it might have to do with how alert someone is at the time.

[ This is just so interesting. Five could also be incredibly gullible, but he knows there's probably some things they all have in common. If they call it 'magic' or not. ]

What else? I heard you talking about healing magic.

Yes. If any of us are injured, I should be able to heal it- at least to the point of not being immediately life-threatening. I also have some fire spells. They seem useful for helping ward off undead.

[ Eyebrows are up over here. What can he say? These are very relevant skills to know about. So long as they're going with this 'team' thing, which he's inclined to for as long as it gets him somewhere he needs to be. ]

I'd like to see that.

I'm sure there will be plenty of opportunity for that.

Ah, what was your name? I should probably know who I was meant to make a sword for if I do end up forging one.

[ And don't think that doesn't make him have some real serious thoughts about the implications to that name. ]

Eleven. [ Because wow, they didn't make it past seven. ] Does that run in the family?

I don't think it does.

But I don't have any siblings, if that's what you're asking. Not actually related to me, anyway.

[ So they just went with Eleven? He still wouldn't put it past old Reginald to have a secret eleventh child squirreled away somewhere, if it weren't for every other fact he knows about him. Weird coincidence then. ]

I had six. [ Look at that. Bonus information. ] They're late showing up.
