Heads up--There's a Jedi on-planet. They're the people that keep mine enslaved. Expect enhanced reflexes, agility, telekinesis, mind-reading and mind-altering abilities, and a lightsaber. The blade can cut through just about anything without slowing down.

This one's named Anakin Skywalker. I've met him before. Don't trust him.

And... I'm in need of a medic. I can walk, but I'm not fit to fight right now.

[His tone softens just a bit.] It's not going to kill me, and you've got work to do. It might be easier if I come to you.

[He settles somewhere to hear it]

..All right. I'm back at the banquet hall with the other injured if you can make it here.

I'll make it. Be there as soon as I can.

[Which may take a while. He has a ways to go. All the way from the TDM.

But eventually he'll show up, looking haggard, and--well. The facial burns are probably the first thing that will get noticed. They aren't the worst, but they're not pretty either.]

[It's an anxious wait, debating on asking for further clarification to better prepare when he spots him. Eleven grimaces, then turns to rummage through a bag for something as Slick approaches]

Is it just the burns?

[He tiredly waves a greeting.] And another concussion, probably. [He's got a whole collection by this point.] And some bruised ribs. Don't think any are broken, they probably would've told me by now. [Although the body glove on his armor can compress things a little. Just enough to hold you together until you get to the medic.]

Slick?? Are you okay? I'm glad you can get to Eleven - I can come help too, but - How hurt are you?

[ He sounds genuinely worried, but not exactly surprised. Slick had warned him about these 'Jedi' before, and though they sounded similar to Archeval's ability set, there were a hell of a lot of worlds to be from.

But this was someone Slick had already met. Which meant either his world and timeline, or a slightly different timeline off his world.

Either way, bad news jubejubes. ]

Did he hurt you? [ This is probably as angry as Slick has ever heard Fox's voice before. ]

I'm alright, now that I'm getting seen to.

[That's not an answer, but he doesn't need to get into details. Unless El taps out, Fox doesn't need to worry about it.]

And I owe you an apology. I meant what I said when I promised not to use your stuff in a fight, but... [He sighs.] I took a hard knock on the head, and I reacted on instinct.

[ It's not an answer, and though Fox is by no means a particularly insightful man when it comes to other humans, he's not that dense.

He pierces his lips thinly for a minute before replying, his speech a little too fast and a little too clipped. ]

Not to use my stuff in a -- You got in a fight with him? So he did hurt you. Knock on the head--

I don't know. [He's a little slow on the uptake at the moment, blame his throbbing head. Wait, is Fox thinking of--] Don't try to go after him by yourself. It won't go well.

[There's a little bit of him that's happy, though. After he broke away from the indoctrination, it was hard to believe anybody was ever going to back him up. He'd sort of kept quiet about the details with Fox--he didn't understand the pacifism thing, maybe he wouldn't take well to hearing about the soldiering side of things. But now he's got a head injury and he's feeling a little like rambling.]

He's the one in charge of all the poor brainwashed bastards in the 501st. I was deployed along side them before, he's friends with the one they put in charge of us. [The 212th is still "us", especially right now when he's not at his best.] They can disassemble somebody faster than you can blink. Probably why everybody thinks they're good at doing war. They're not.

[ There's a reason for Fox's pacifism, and it wasn't innocence or ignorance. It was born of defiance, more than anything else: a fuck you to a world that so often and so easily took to violence.

Defiance against the world. Defiance against his own boiling emotions when all he wanted to do was punch someone in the face. Like now. ]

He can try it. [ Fox had never believed the world would give up its violence or its hatred. He had never expected to.

So defense had always been a large priority for him. First: never be noticed. Second: get away as quick as you could the second you were. Third: they couldn't hurt you, if they couldn't hit you.

At least for this, he knew what he was getting into going in. ]

I'm not going to fight him. [ Just getting that out of the way. ] But he - there's no difference between him and you, here. Alright? I don't care how fast he can fucking dissemble someone. If he's here, if he's one of us, that means he's just as deep in the shit as we are and I am not going to let him treat you as anything lesser. You understand?

[Hi, The Doctor. Your escape-mate's been going through a rough patch.]

They're--[Describing them without falling back on fluffy propaganda isn't easy.] They're the order that was put in charge of us clones by the Republic. They've got a monopoly there on the Force--or magic, whatever people call it here.

I attacked him. I figured he'd realize I was the one that got hauled off for treason a couple months back. But I don't think he recognizes me at all. [Either that meant more clones had rebelled, or... the Jedi really just didn't care at all.]

[ There was a great deal of history there. Clones, Republic, Jedi... He sat on the fence not really knowing or understanding the full story behind all this. ]

If he didn't recognize you before I imagine he would now... He would at least be asking himself you who are and why you would attack him.

[ But this was neither here nor there right now. ]

How badly are you injured?

Probably the second one. I mentioned it, but he still seemed clueless. Most non-clones in the Republic don't bother telling us apart, though. [Even so, it was insulting. Just being forgotten that fast.]

[Well. He's just going to have to change that when he gets back.]

Eleven's got me patched up now. Should be back in one piece soon enough.

[You know what, if he'd known he had this many people willing to help, he might not've attacked Skywalker.

He would've rounded up his friends and then attacked Skywalker.]

Don't try to engage a Jedi on your own. Not unless you've got some really flashy magical stuff on your side. It's not usually a survivable mistake. I think somebody like me attacking him just confused him more than anything else.

I remember you told me about these guys. I don't have any magic stuff. All I'm good at is normal fighting. [And he's not even the best guy at that he knows.]

Really? We might be the only two. [Seriously, everybody here seems to have the Force coming out of their ears.]

Fox can teach you magic though, he's been doing that with me. Only catch is he doesn't want it used for fights. [Which he has fucked up on, but apparently not terminally.]

Copy that. Going after a Jedi on your own isn't advisable, though. Not unless you've got something better than they've got.

You're... [The voice sounds kind of familiar?] You've been around here for a while, yeah? Jedi are like Archeval. [He sort of assumes the other guy with a laser sword has gotten noticed by everybody by now.] Except Jedi are hypocrites.
