Hey, um, hey again everyone. So I've been trying to figure out exactly what to do to help Odile - uh - woo her man as it were, and I've kind of come up with some stuff? Magic stuff. Obviously. Do I ever talk about anything that isn't magic stuff?
Ah - right. Anyway, uh -
So, some of these spells are the kind of thing where if I'm casting it on one garment, I may as well do it on a bunch. And lets be real, if we're supposed to be doing some kind of back up in a court setting - uh - no offence, but even with the new threads, most of us don't really look the part.
So here's what I was thinking. Obviously, going to focus a lot of the magic on her in particular - don't want to be stealing the show - but if it looks like everything around her seems to grow in beauty from her presence it can't hurt, right?
So bring me your clothes, and I'll spruce them up a bit while I'm working on hers. And those of you who are clumsier than most - bring me your shoes, too.

Definitely. You just being in the room would ruin her chances, though at least you're taking a small handicap with one of those masks.

Are you kidding? The mask only makes me more alluring. Adds to the mystery, and my taste in masks is immaculate.

Oh nice! Yeah, I’d love that, come on by.
I’m always fascinated as fuck to see you work!

I've kind of taken over one of the sitting rooms - the one with the red curtains? You're welcome to come by whenever.

Brilliant idea you've had by the way - if I haven't said so already.
[ Setting her sneakers down she pulled her wand from her pocket. ]
Where are yours? I'll change their appearance and then you can charm them?
[ Uncertain if 'charm' was the proper term for what Fox's magic entailed, Lily stuck with what she knew, and it certainly sounded like a charm to her, at least. ]

Honestly it feels like we were thrown into like - the Venice Carnaval or something. Definitely not my speed.
no subject
... 'Venice Carnaval'? I am unfamiliar.
no subject
And - uh - yeah. Venice, Italy. It's a city? But they hold this huge, like, party - sort of - every year called carnival. They all wear masks and there is a huge illusion magic competition and balls and stuff. I've never been but I always wanted to go.
Wait does that mean you're royalty or something?

Beitang Moran, Prince Chen. Until very recently, I was the Imperial Regent for the Huangdao Empire. The Emperor is my nephew.

This is probably a bad idea, but apparently that's his thing now. ]
Where are you?

[ He looks around a little helplessly. ]
I'm in the room with red curtains and like four couches. Sitting room? Probably a sitting room. I was told I could use this room for spellwork so I pushed all the couches against the wall.

He finds it, some fifteen minutes later. He could have asked around and gotten there sooner, but he's really been near too many people lately so he's saving his breath. With any luck, Fox will be alone when he blinks into the room, and he gives it a quick sweep before locking onto him and marching over.
Speaking of not looking the part, Five barely played along with what he was given, conceding to throwing a tunic over his own clothing for the sake of blending in. Obviously he rushed by because this is a fashion emergency. ]

[ For the first couple of minutes of that silence, Fox’s voice can still be heard through their new bedazzled communication gems: ]
Five?
… Five?
You still there, Buddy? … Fiiiive?
[ He gives up with a sigh eventually, and when Five pops into existence he startles a little but isn’t surprised, and is indeed alone. ]
You know, next time, you can just say “over” or “roger” or hell, just a really grumpy ass “fine”, just so I don’t think you got jumped somewhere. [ He offers Five a small, helpless lopsided smile. ]
What’s up? You okay?
no subject
He seems stressed, or at least very tense, and doesn't smile back. But he always kind of seems that way, so it's hard to tell if something is wrong. Even standing here, he's second guessing something he definitely needs help with just to avoid exposing a vulnerability. ]
I need to talk to you about magic. [ Out of the blue. ] How familiar did you get with the mirror in Sa-Hareth?

If it did, he might have changed the drab shirt Emilia brought to him that he refused to wear, because of how truly drab and horrible it was. ]
Your magic can affect clothing?
no subject
You interested?
no subject
[ He wonders why the clothing within his own world could not be affected by such magic. Perhaps people were always more concerned with other avenues of the magic that they did not pay attention to that possibility. ]
Very interested. I would like to see what you can do. Can I see you work?
no subject
And sure, I don't mind at all. I'm uh - I kind of made my own little spell room out of one of the sitting rooms. The one with curtains? And four couches for god knows what reason. Bring your clothes and your shoes and we'll see what we can do.
no subject
[ Wrath brings his clothing and shoes, packed neatly into a bag. Much of what he has been given does not fit his style so he was grateful to arrive in Taravast, to be given better clothing. Through it all, he kept the clothing he arrived in - its black and its dirty, torn. Perhaps the magic could aid in fixing the mess it had become as well.
It will not belong before there is a quiet knock on the door. ]
