All said and done, with that message slipped to me, I can say with certainty there's a handful I fully trust here, and there's none I trust entirely from here, no offense. However, there is one we've been forced to trust, ah? In hearing these words, what are your thoughts?

Is Earth meant to be Metal or Wood? Or just a different concept of elements altogether?

Well, I have never heard of Metal or Wood associated with astrological signs, so I have to assume different notions.

[weifinder]

Meanwhile I only know a little of any astrology back home, with most of it in animals or years with different elemental associations... something like that? I've read a book or two about it in passing, can't say I recall much!

[beitangmoran]

We do appear to have different systems. Meanwhile, people who are completely removed from my universe seem to know about my constellations and star signs.

Wait, and they're right about what they say? That's fascinating... I wonder what other things we might share across vastly different realms without knowing yet.

Everything I have heard so far seems to match, they just seem to believe it is completely made up to make people feel better, and not an actual thing.

[weifinder]

... Haha, sorry, that has to frustrate. Do you want to know how often I've had people ask if cultivating means we're farmers? When we're all taking what we know and applying it to realms we don't, the claims we make get less and less singular in their truths.

[beitangmoran]

Believe me, I am not used to having to explain over and over again who I am and what I do. Where I come from, everyone knows me. Having to put words on things is complicated when you have to explain them to someone who has no idea what it's like.

At this point, I'm resigned to the continued joy of doing exactly that over things that I once so carelessly assumed were common knowledge.
