[There is a brief pause, from the person - woman, you can see it's a woman (Miang-Si, if you've already met her) - in front of Hermione, before she darts forward again, darkening the view completely.

Before the trasmission cuts, from bodies pressing together too tightly, there is one audible clue: the sound of lips meeting lips in a surprisingly thorough kiss.]

Yes, of course. Agreed. No one should ever be kissed without their consent, attractiveness be damned. It's just not proper. None of it is. In this situation though, personally, I'd much rather be kissed than be turned into a toad. But that's just me. ( shameless heathen. )

I'm a telepath. I have the ability to read and control minds. Not that I make a habit of doing that. ( just as she wouldn't be doing spells all day and all night. )

You have had this ability for a long time? Or did you have to learn it? I ask because there are some spells that allow you to do a few similar things - in my world - but some of them are unforgivable (their literal name, they are illegal) and others are just in a very grey area.

It's part of my genetic mutation. An ability that took form at puberty. ( as a kid, he'd thought he was going crazy at first. ) I had to learn to control it, in order to keep the voices down, but for the most part, it's just something I could do naturally, I suppose. There's never been any published material about it. No textbooks. I had to figure it all out on my own.

Well, what about you? What's your story? If you don't mind me asking.

Oh, me. Long story turned very short, since you've told me about yourself.

In my world, there are people who can perform magic called wizards and witches. Their societies run parallel to the ones of people without magic, whom they call muggles.

I was born to two dentists, not a lick of magical talent between them, and I am a witch. When I was eleven, I went to a wizarding school - a boarding school, really - where I learned how to use the magic that ran through me. And I really, really enjoy learning.

How fascinating. Being in school must have been a lot of fun for you then. I was in boarding school myself, but it was all sorts of boring for me. ( he hadn't enjoyed it at all, really. ) I'm assuming only certain individuals are born capable of learning and using magic then?
