Okay so here's the deal, I ran into one of the staff members emptying the trash from carriage 48 and a whole mess of dream boxes fell out. I mean like, a lot, both the last two days.

Don't know if that's what we smuggled them all in for, but they'd all been used. And the guy was spooked. Apparently the bigger ones cause attacks to the train or whole trains to be pulled into the dream or for the user to be able to pull parts of the dream into reality.

But here's the thing, he also said that a small-scale user could take the box and rewrite parts of reality with it. Pretty cool, right? How many boxes do you think there were? 'Cause we might be here awhile.

Oh, and he also said that you can always tell when something's a living dream, because they don't sleep. No matter how hard a thief tries to get them to. Sounds kinda awful.

Wait wait, before I go, Nynaeve wants me to ask if anyone's heard anything about the herbs or the tools going missing? 'Cause we don't know when those disappeared, right?

So it's no surprise they found them. You don't remember them saying anything about why or who they were for?

They said it was a favor. That's all I know. Maybe they gave the full spiel to somebody else.

[ A favor to who? He's aware that he should probably confront Karsa for more details, but... well, he hates Karsa and the feeling is very mutual. ]

I guess it's time to ask if any of them know the Merchant. Do you think that was all of them, or are they still looking for more?

No idea, but I'm thinking from the Doctor's post that we might ask the Contessa. She said she couldn't remember how long she'd been on the train.

Worth a shot. Whoever it is could be tied to the apothecary's break-in.

Well, I'll try, but I don't think I'm all that popular with that guy I cornered to ask about all this stuff. He was the one with the trash bags full of the memory boxes. Oh and he's totally denying that's what they are.

Of course he is. More proof that there's a lot that the staff knows that they're keeping to themselves. I'm not convinced they don't know what happened to the bride who disappeared.

Maybe they do, but if so, they're not telling me. That guy seemed pretty nervous though, if you want a crack at him.
