he might need a little help when we get the hell out of here. i forgot my first aide kit and the things down here keep tossing him into me like a lawn dart.

and if anyone needs these lake scales, he's been talking like their important. i'm just making sure he stays alive.

This is all very concerning, of course. And yet the creature sounds somewhat fascinating. Like the kraken. Something he'd never wish to encounter himself, but would not mind reading about in a book.]

This mountain is very old, and very large. It sounds like the pair of you had the misfortune of stumbling upon something better left to its own devices.

Did he at least manage to scavenge one of the scales, after all that effort?

Yeah, he's got a few of them.
