I seem to have provoked the ire of Lord Thyvault and currently find myself rather uncomfortably confined to a cell. If anyone out could let His Highness Haiva know, I would be most grateful.

... Oh, and if I could prevail on anyone to come get me out? It's not an emergency, but the smells are rather revolting down there.

I was trying to get a reaction to gauge the temperature of the political tension. I got one. I would abstain from talking to Lord Thyvault about it for now, he's probably not inclined to mercy.

I asked him why he thinks using a tactic that involves throwing men to the slaughter will eventually work when it hasn't so far and is very unlikely to, given that he isn't an imbecile.

And so I asked him if he was hiding something from King Deimar. He did not like this one bit.

He did not deny it, mind. He thinks the king is foolish and he does not hesitate to speak out loud, to someone he doesn't even know.

That wasn't very smart.

I'm not sure how you think anyone will get you out without appealing to Thyvault, considering anyone who lets you walk out [or break out...] will probably only aggravate him further. But I'm in his entourage, so I'll judge when he's open to discussing this and see what I can do.

For now, I suggest treading carefully. Conditions could always be worse.

The cells are very sparsely guarded and everyone has bigger problems at the moment. Including Lord Thyvault.

I'd be interested to know if he is still stewing about it, though.

[Kim pauses; this place has minimal internal security, and punishment means nothing but putting up with some bad smells and mild discomfort. Noted.]

[It's unpleasant, but it's not unlike most prisons he himself has on occasion sent people to, so he doesn't find it it that out there. The smells, though...]

I expect I might be out by the morrow. We're not trying to hurt the guards, so it'll take a bit of time.

And if it upsets Thyvault more? What's the plan then?

He has an undead army at his gate. If he has time to be upset about this, he has bigger problems.

Besides, he didn't tell anyone how long I was supposed to be down there.

Well, it's my first time, and the last person I jailed pretty much did this exact thing.
