[Guess who else has had...an update? And a bear to celebrate it, apparently! Zishu laughs and pats the big bear on the back before addressing anyone watching.]

Though he wants to be the subject of this broadcast, I have to deny him that.

For those who know me or have helped me in the past, first of all - thank you. From here on, unless I do something supremely stupid, I won't hold anyone back. I have achieved immortality in my world; I am no longer sick.

[The bear has wandered off, knocking things over things in his room. Zishu smirks.]

He's just curious and testing his boundaries. [Zishu scoots the juvenile on his way, giving him an apple in the process. Good bears that don't eat people deserve treats!]

[He makes his way to his dear friend and smiles as he approaches him.]

Hello, Daozhang.

[As soon as he hears his friend call for him, Xingchen pushes himself to his feet from where he had been scrubbing the floor and wipes his hands on his clothes before immediately reaching out for Zhou Zishu's hands or arms or whatever he can grasp.]

Zhou Zishu.

[It's good to return to someone who cares about him. Zishu flushes and captures those grasping hands, pulling Xingchen into a warm hug. Nothing less will do!]

I'm back and I feel much better.

[binghua]

[The hug is returned without hesitation and if Xingchen clings a little tightly to Zhou Zishu, then neither of them need to acknowledge it.]

I'm so happy for you.

[He is always happy to hold Xiao Xingchen. The other man is adorable personified and Zishu wants to help him as much as he can in this...interesting...environment.]

[Xingchen immediately shakes his head, even as he pulls away.]

No, no, you don't have to do anything! I only wanted to see you again. Or, well, see.

[He gestures toward his face with a little laugh. But before either of them can focus on that too long, he takes one of Zhou Zishu's hands and presses a couple of his fingers to his wrist. Xingchen breathes in, clearly surprised at what he feels.]

You really are healed?

[Zishu keeps hold of one of Xingchen's hands. Why? Because he doesn't want to let go yet.]

You can see me through your hands and with your ears, A-Chen.

[The laugh is cute and Zishu chuckles too. When his wrist is checked, he softens and lets out a small sigh. A happy sigh.]

I am. There was only one way it could be done and it worked. All of my meridians are healed.

[The physical contact, as always, is welcome and Xingchen doesn't try to shrug it off. The familiarity of the nickname is new, however, and he can't help but smile a little, even as he ducks his head. But then he pulls his hands away to hold Zhou Zishu's face, gently giving it a little squish.]

Still as shameless as ever, I see.

[He lets his hands fall away after a moment.]

Was it a special cultivation method? My...my old master reached immortality, but I don't think she did anything other than cultivate diligently.

[The nickname is cute, isn't it? Like Xingchen. The squish makes him laugh and his eyes sparkle...shamelessly. Zishu doesn't know shame and that isn't going to change.]
