I can most certainly believe that those presences felt different from all others we have been surrounded with these days. But that doesn't necessarily convince me we are talking about a living child who was at any point actually present wherever we were.

Rushing in for a rescue at this stage and based only on this seems dangerous and premature. From all accounts, even if the child is indeed real and not a figment of our imaginations, he does not appear to be in immediate danger.

There's nowhere for us to rush, anyway. Whatever place we were in is less a location and more an occurrence. We have to understand what Serthica hides to determine 'where' or what that was, regardless.
