That makes sense, given assumptions that the White Wanderer came here and introduced potentially the dark water. Why he is interested in the child, we do not know. If it is the Beastmaster's child, he obviously never knew that the White Wanderer had it.

However, I still believe we should be searching for any answers here -- not trying to get back to a vision of another version of this place.

The Beastmaster's child yet had lived up to five years prior, tracked by statue and spirit in the House of Ravens. He wasn't sacrificed as willingly or swiftly as his mother would have allowed it. I did tell the Beastmaster as much, before he was... ended.

I agree. If there is a way to save that child who lives, it will come through the traveler, or the understanding of the magics here allowing the unwinding to be as it was.
