The fact remains that it still may not be safe, we don't know enough about the situation. Equally, I'm not certain how you intend to find them. They weren't here, not in Serthica as we know it. Whatever we saw was either not current, past or future perhaps, or a split in the timeline potentially.

I presume you don't desire to wait a year, so a follow up question:

Assuming you manage to trigger another unwinding. We did not consciously chose to leave it. We returned, not wearing the clothing we wore while there. Nothing we had thus carried with us. How do you presume we will remove the child back to here?

Learning is an important stop. If we are to learn, it may be good to can confirm if the White Wanderer was indeed here in our version of Serthica. How long ago he left, and if he had a child with him.

Do not become so fixated on the version of the child you saw, that you potentially neglect one that is already here. If that is not the past, but a split in the timeline, then removing a child from an alternate timeline to bring two of them here could cause instability in the timeline. A consequence for everyone.
