[ Wrathion reporting in with another scheme, this time one he needs assistance with. ]

Myself, Licyn and Moran were among those who assisted the Lady Arabella to safety during the summit. She discarded a key along the way that her assistant was attempting to give her, claiming it wasn't hers. On inspection this key is old, greasy, and has the phrase 'wake up' engraved into it. A meaningful message, I assume, like the one delivered to her previously with flowers. The key itself appears to be from the Ubiq factory in Eidris, which I have managed to gain myself an invite to tour after some trouble. I have a suspicion the key is for a winding mechanism, perhaps a clock given the engraved phrase. Regardless, it doesn't fit the style of a door or window key.

Licyn and the Doctor managed to track the grease on the key to the Mouse House. We have an idea of where it might have been, now we need to learn exactly what the key is for.

If you have the time, a useful role involving factories, gears, winding mechanisms and the like, and would care to join me on such a tour do let me know. I suspect this will help us piece together the bigger picture of what is happening here. Someone attempted to give Arabella this key for a reason, and understanding what it is for will help unlock why.

Will still do not understand the consequence of what the words spoken to Arabella did.

She seemed recovered at the time, but we can verify with Wrath or Emilia for that time... see who else has contact, Wen Qing might be a good resource.

She appeared to be recovered both in the moment and when I spoke to her later.

Cain d'Ubiq was at the Sanctuary a week before the trade summit. It is possible he lost his key during that time, and Arabella was speaking truthfully when she said it wasn't hers. Perhaps he too was given a strange gift with a key and those words written upon it.

Someone could ask him if he received a strange key as she received the flowers. I agree in urging caution in not speaking the words out loud to him until we understand the potential consequence.

He was, was he? Then yes, it's definitely possible that he did, or someone meeting with him did. Or, as you say, it was intended as a particular gift, and a second attempt was made with Arabella when she arrived a week later.

I hear we'll be heading out of the citadel soon to investigate the dragon injuring incident. That may be a time to try and insert such into conversation, ah?

It's difficult to know the intended path of the key, but his was the only name worth noting on the Sanctuary's registries.

That would likely be the best time to do so. Members from the group are providing him with help so he may be more amenable to answering questions then.

I'll be heading that way myself. I want to understand this accident and injuring of the dragon that so overset Aiva here in the citadel.

It is possible, targeting multiple people would make sense, and there is the connection of it being a key made in his family factory. It's a loose sort of lead, but if we can ascertain if it was definitely intended for her or not that would allow us more grounds.

Remembrance's overall discontent is not necessarily individual to Arabella. It's possible the intended target is less important than the thing itself and its meaning, if that is true. The meaning of the key, what it is intended for, may provide answers that help inform this -- it may become obvious if it were intended for her or not.

Unfortunately, we appear to primarily only have loose leads at present and far more questions than answers. No surprise there. ( it's often how things are especially when they first enter a new area. )

You're right. Finding what the key is meant for is the most important thread to follow at present. I hope your trip to the factory provides more information.
