I've been whistling while I work, and I have yet to find any response whatsoever. Which is to say, ( he continues, almost at a laconic drawl: ) to any and all of my fellow ragtag members of the eastward bound Merchant's caravan with a gift for detecting life, death, or anything of the spirit: have you felt anything?

( he freely admits to how unnerving it is to him to have no reaction, no response whatsoever, when he reaches out to find the resentful energies that have been throughout all of this world they've wandered since his arrival, well over a year before. )

Because I, for one, can't find a damn thing.

He was quite the character, I can see him being the creative mind behind something like that.

Reminiscent of anything in Ellethia? The lighthouse, I mean, Master Scorpion's citadel of origin.

( speaking of creative (and apt) names. )

I admit, I did my best to steer clear of that lighthouse. But I did explore the flora with Eleven much as I could. The plants in Ellethia experienced an accelerated life cycle of sorts, no magical print that I could see. These wilted flowers — there was no acceleration, but they don't quite feel dead, either.

Self granted, albeit he's surprisingly unfond of it.

( this is not a surprise. grumpy old men are indeed going to be grumpy. )

( they keep accruing stories to tell each other, while being given no time to tell them over promised wine. it's rude, frankly. )

And yes, perhaps. I don't know if your ( ah ) skillset applies to plants, but you're welcome to look at them yourself. ( in general, he is welcome in her temporary (not!)home. )

I... can see, one way or another. At this point I won't pretend there's anything I can or cannot get a sense of for certain, how strange things in this world have been, and what it is I've learned. When's a time of it?
