[ The video opens with Wen Qing, dressed in trousers and a ruffled white shirt, looking fairly annoyed. She holds up an orange. ] This is an orange. There are barrels of them in the hold. Eat them. You don't need to have one daily, but make sure you're eating one every few days.

[ She glances away, mouthing something to someone just out of video range, and then she looks back to the communication device, flipping it around. Standing there is a sailor, unwashed and grimy. He's holding up a tooth, still bloody, and grinning proudly. This isn't the first tooth he's lost; most of them are gone, and his gums are bloody. Wen Qing continues over the camera. ]

This gentleman is a fine example of what will happen should you forget to eat them. [ The "do not forget to eat them" is heavily implied. She flips the device back, still frowning. ]

As Miss Eda mentioned, the sailors seem afraid of women so none of them will listen to me about the oranges. Someone pass on the message to them.

[ Oh dear. That wasn't rhetorical, which was what Wen Qing was expecting.

It's something, at least. ]

Try one, and we will see how he reacts.

I don't think they'll like it, but they'll like scurvy even less, so really, we're helping!

[ ENTHUSIASM. ]

You coming over here so we can grab us a pirate?

[silverneedles]

[ Does she want to do this? Not really, but it is better than scurvy and maybe one of them will convince the rest—

She sighs. ] I shall join you momentarily.

[ And she does, although it takes her a little time to find Eda on the ship. She has an orange, already starting to peel it. ]

[traaaaaash]

[ Eda grins when she sees Wen Qing. ]

Great! Now all we need is an unsuspecting pirate.

[ She puts her fingers to her chin and looks around thoughtfully. ]

Aha!

[ Time to... sneak up to a pirate who is busy rolling up rope a bit further away and grab him from behind. Her harpy arms are well strong enough to restrain him momentarily, and she turns toward Wen Qing. ]

Fire away!

[silverneedles]

[ Since she's never seen Eda's harpy form, it is something to behold, but considering what else they've encountered in this world, it's hardly the oddest thing she's seen all day.

She waits while Eda grabs the pirate, and approaches, tossing aside the last of the orange peel. ] I am not going to shoot them into his mouth. [ That would be a waste.

Instead, she calmly holds up a slice, and when the pirate is shouting away, shoves it into his mouth. ]

[traaaaaash]

[ The pirate puts up a valiant struggle, but Eda holds him firmly. ]

There, there, my guy, this is good for you! It's like medicine, but tasty!

[silverneedles]

[ She feeds him another slice and a third, and by then he's stopped struggling, almost seeming to enjoy the oranges.

Wen Qing gives Eda a look. ] At least this one has had something. we'll see if it helps.

[traaaaaash]

[ Eda lets the guy go and de-transforms. ]

Okay, that's one down! Haha, it worked! Didn't think it would, to be honest, but what do you know!
