[when the feed clicks on, Wrench shifts to one side and then the other in it, as if he's looking at himself in a mirror -- and all things considered, he may very well be. either way, though, he stops after a beat, and addresses his adoring public in earnest, the mask jumping back and forth between (>_-) and just a flat out (-_-)]

Sooooooooo, I may have made a terrible life decision. I don't feel any different, but uh ... you know that floor in the lighthouse with the creepy warning about wishes and making them? Yeah.

[And Akira will make his way down to the beach, lifting a hand in a wave as he catches sight of Wrench.]

[Akira smirks, tucking his hands into his pockets.]

[(>_-) despite the look on the mask, however, he's not really as sour as he's pretending to be, and he moves past it quickly, clapping his hands together] But okay, uh, you might wanna stand back?

[He shrugs. He's read enough stories about wishes going wrong that he wouldn't be surprised. He's been here for twenty minutes, relatively speaking, and he's already been in a revolution, had mermaids try to eat him, and is now in a haunted lighthouse, after all.]

[He will back off a few steps - not too far, though, in case Wrench spontaneously bursts into flames or something.]

Yeah, I don't think the whole ringing endorsement thing really works now, dude.

[the opportunity to be encouraging has passed]

[fortunately, maybe, Wrench doesn't really need it as, after a second or two of focus, he does, in fact, burst into flames. sort of. a shock of blue fire races down him from head to toe, harmlessly, and while Wrench startles because of it, he doesn't look like it hurt]

Okay, what was that?

[Akira smirks at him, the smile fading as Wrench focuses - and then his eyes widen as the flames race over him.]

Um...

[He focuses, too - and he's starting to get the hang of making this happen on command here instead of it just happening when he perceives himself to be in danger. A moment later, identical blue flames race over Akira, leaving him in Joker's costume.]

I think you... copied me? But your clothes are the same.

Okay.

[mask displaying as close to a frown as it can get (>_-) Wrench focuses for a moment, trying to get a wardrobe change of his very own. while he manages, at least, to get the fire to come up, then down, then up over him again, however, still nothing happens as far as his clothing goes]

[Akira watches, amused, as Wrench turns it off and on again.]

[Akira tilts his head - and "powers down" back to his normal clothes.]

You could change into average clothes and then see if you could call the spirit of rebellion to change your clothes back to those?

[That seems like a lot of work to end up right back where he is, but Akira is getting the idea that Wrench isn't so much worried about that kind of thing.]

[Akira lets out an amused huff - but nods.]

[Considering the company he normally keeps, he's honestly not worried about how ridiculous this is.]

[and then he'll just lead the way to -- probably the lighthouse. there's probably something there, right?]

[That's probably their best option, really, considering that's where everyone is - and where all their supplies are. It's not like they're not going to give the clothing back after they do this, anyway.]

[Akira follows him back to the lighthouse, heading for where he knows most of the supplies are being kept.]

I think there were some extra clothes in here.

[they head in and Wrench moves for a nearby crate, intent on starting his search there. it's not long before he comes up with a plain linen pair of pants and a matching shirt, and he holds them up for Akira to see]

Hey, look. Potato Sac Chic.

[Akira's expression says he agrees with Wrench's assessment of the clothing.]

That's definitely different from what you're wearing.

[It's much less pointy, for one.]

[that decided, he's just going to strip, minus the mask, apparently shameless as far as the rest of his body is concerned. he changes into the shirt and pants he found and -- well, despite the fact that it probably won't last long, he still makes a face (>_-)]
