I have mint leaves for anyone who is sea-sick, so please reach out if you would like some. I can float them to your boat. Chewing on peppermint would've been better, but desperate times call for desperate measures.

For whoever is holding the candles lit, if you are having trouble staying awake or keeping calm, maybe we can exchange stories. Surely if we whisper into our pendants...

Oh, one more thing! Does anyone know how to change the display name on these bloody things?

I do have some left - I can float them to you, or maybe I could tie a little metal thing around the sprigs and you can summon them?

Either works. Add the metal and I'll bring it over if you need to conserve energy.

How are you feeling?

A little tired. A lot wired, too. It feels like these past few weeks have been on nothing but high alert - you'd think I'd be used to it by now, but I'm not.

I don't think it's something you really get used to, no matter how often you end up in these kind of situations.

If you need help staying awake let me know. I don't know how entertaining my stories are but I'll do what I can.

Do you often end up in these kind of situations?

These specific ones? No. Mine don't usually involve boats.

[ hence the need for the mint leaves. ]

But I have some experience with being on the move in attempts to stay and keep people safe. Sounds like you might, too.

When I first started back home, I was angry about how people with the same kind of abilities I have, or even the possibility that they could develop, getting mistreated. I didn't really expect to get recruited to help beyond stopping people who were doing it in the moment (which ended up getting me arrested), but that's what happened. And a few years after that, once we'd been running a network that was trying to get them somewhere safer, I ended up getting arrested again and found out I was pregnant.

That's horrible, Lorna, I'm so sorry - you should not have to do it alone, or in small groups. You definitely should not be arrested for having powers, what the hell is up with that?!

I think people without the gene that we have felt threatened by what we could do. They thought we had the potential to be dangerous, so they wanted to contain us. Or eliminate us.
