( the video opens up on the face of a young woman in the crowded streets of Taravast. she has stark white hair and a thorned crown wrapped around her brow. as she walks, someone passes too close to her. the video drops low off her face, replaced with that of a large black mastiff that snuffles at the camera. In the background Thistle can be heard- do I pet your hair without permission? come here, I'll show you what it's like. yeah, that's what I though. don't pet the dog!.

eventually the camera is pulled away from the dog's mouth. Thistle can be seen through the slobber to wince before wiping the device clean of drool, giving a better image of her as she sighs. )

Some of us don't have time to mess about in otherworld politics and magic. ( she shakes her head, eyes looking past the device to watch where she steps before turning down an alley. ) Please tell me that wasn't the only way through the worlds you have? I really don't have time to wa-

( she stops short, at the farther end of the alley.

she turns video around to show a rather large... creature. a blood golem, swaying around as it catches itself on the roof of a building. )

Who lost their pet golem?! ( she snarls before cutting the video off. )

[ He had yet to see the golem for himself, but the way the people on the streets who had retreated in fear in the creature's wake told Zuko enough.

Already in the process of tracking it down when the strange girl's message flashed into life through the pendants their group had been given he stopped in his tracks, standing on the roof of a stately house as he watched.

Zuko didn't say anything to her after the message clicked off, instead heading towards where he thought she was, based on the surroundings he'd seen. ]

( Thistle turns sharply at the sound of another voice. for a second, she thinks it's another citizen off the street. but he seems to have an intent the others don't.

or did. until his eyes lock on fluffy, who's growling the golem down. ) If you can help, help would be pretty good right now.

Otherwise don't get in the way.

[ The response is off-handed and quiet, not looking at her when he speaks before he moves forward, balling one hand into a fist before jabbing at the air.

Fire blooms from the air above his knuckles, balling up and blazing out like a comet towards the blood golem, trying to make it lose its footing so it's easier to take down. ]

So, we've been brought here, but the thing is, no one really knows how or why, not even the people from this world. But apparently, people like us, we attract a lot of unwanted attention and some people want to use us for our powers. So there is a group that wants to get us out of the way by sending us back... or at least away, and it seems the only way they know how to do that is through those beacons.

Unfortunately, they're complicated to reach and hard to light. The one from Taravast only managed to send a few people back, and somehow it also pulled some people in and even brought back people who left before.

Teleportation and temporal magic is dangerous, but we don't know who's doing for now so it's hard to find a way beyond that one.
