Not all of my things are useful at the moment, but they do appear to be working. We should continue to keep proper tabs on our collective supplies.

It's the suit I use during my Hero work. [ naturally ]

...Your... hero work. [ at this point he's thoroughly distracted from his original question, voice sounding rather incredulous ] That is-- what, a profession where you come from...?

yeah! [ pretty much!! ]

It's a very popular profession, but very hard to get in there.

Fascinating. [ The word is a deadpan drawl. There's a quip on the tip of his tongue about how he thought he already knew all the professional heroes given his own line of work, but with his run of luck in this place she'd probably take him seriously. ]

And what does that entail, exactly? May I presume you can fight?

[ she certainly would! ]

Yep. We learning fighting, but also support, teamwork, rescue and first aid. There are other things like law, history and such, but that's theory. [ and she is oh so terrible at it ]

Well, at least it seems you're very equipped to be stuck in a hellhole like this, then. [ noting this in a dry tone again ]

All right, one... hero suit. Fortunate that several of us seem to have shown up prepared with armor, if little else. The less we must cut into our collective bribe money for supplies, the better.

What's your name? Can't say I recognize the voice, so perhaps we've not seen each other around as yet.

[ she wouldn't call it ... an armor. But it's resistant to acid and keeps her warm. ]

I'm Mina Ashido! I'm--- [ a pause. And then her cheerful tone drops a little ] I'm the "pink one". [ everyone has been calling her that!! ]

Oh. All right, I suppose I've seen you around then after all. [ they haven't talked, of course, but it's hard to miss the sight of the only pink person in the general vicinity when you're hanging around the same building. ]

What species are you? I haven't even a guess what planet you're from if I'm honest, but then at the moment I'm not even sure what part of the galaxy we might be in either.

Ah yes, and fair's fair -- call me Archeval. I'm a human.

[ yeah, she isn't used to being so obvious. So many people in her world look different - in colors, size, shapes - and yet here, everyone kind of looks the same in a way. It's a bit... bland? ]

Eh? I'm human too. I'm from the planet Earth. Have you heard of it?

I'm not sure 'nice' is the word I would personally use for these circumstances, but I hope you have a wonderful time here in the primitive tundra city filled with murderous corpses, Mina Ashido. Stranger things have happened, really. [ those words are drawled out in a deeply sardonic tone ]

But, hm. If I'd had to guess, I would've said maybe Zeltron for you, but I suppose there are quite a lot of near-human species out there these days... Haven't heard of 'Earth', no, but that seems to be the theme with the homeworlds of everyone I've spoken to here. [ it's starting to weird him out a little -- it is a damn big galaxy, but several trillions worth of it live on Coruscant and Dromund Kaas and the like, after all. ]

So do they have a name for pink humans on 'Earth', or are you a more rare genetic variant than that? Must be fascinating conditions on your planet to produce people like yourself.

[ gosh it's one of those ] I'd rather not mope around just cuz things are rough right now. It won't get me anywhere - so it's nice enough. [ yep ]

And no- humans can all look very different. But most look like the humans here. [ nobody never made a big deal out of her being pink, but apparently it's a weird thing in this place and other places. it's so weird. ] Tons of people have like-- [ uh how to call it ] abilities.

And some abilities cause us to look a bit different, that's all.
