I do not care for this welcome. (It feels like a ploy to pull the wool over his eyes. Achilles has never fallen for ploys and he won't start now.) This is where I introduce myself. I am Achilles Peleides and if you are at war, show me where the men are fighting.

You could lose all of your believers, for example. Or a more powerful god, or a demon, or a ghost can kill you. Or you can be banished from heaven, although that doesn't necessarily make you not immortal anymore, you just can't go back.

... That's just where I'm from, though. Most people I have talked to, apparently their gods are immortal for good not just for as long as they can maintain it. We call that 'immortal' because it's easier as a concept.

I see, I see. (Things that are easier to obtain aren't nearly as shiny.) Which way do you prefer? Temporary immortality that can be obtained by mortals or lasting immortality that you must be born to acquire?

... That's a bit of a pointless question, isn't it? I'll only get to experience the one I'm familiar with anyway.

But I think, in general, things that are eternal are not good. The world needs to change and evolve, Things can't remain the same all the time.

You're probably right. I could be struck down for even thinking that.

Certain gods can be a little testy at times, but I don't, don't worry. Not about those things.
