Huh, cool.

Anyway, uh. Hi, I'm Wrench, and this newbie has two questions. One, is there anything the Wicked Witch of the West might not have shared that might be important? [he means Karsa] And two, what's to stop a guy from using this piazza thing to share a few dozen dick jokes with the entire city?

[a thing which is forgotten all of ten seconds later, when he pulls out the lightsaber. immediately, the mask flickers between (!_!) and (^_^) and back again] Ohhh, my God.

[he's pretty sure his head is going to explode in the best possible way]

[ Anakin keeps that information tucked in the back of his head. If he needs an extra pair of hands for something, he knows where to turn. ]

Is it everything you hoped for?

[ He twirls the lightsaber in his hand before sliding it into the other with a flourish. He's going to assume the mask faces are positive, anyway. ]

You have no idea. [the mask faces are absolutely positive. as is the fact that he literally chinhands at him] Best. Day. Ever.

[or, well. at least a balm for the culture shock he's been dealing with]

[ He palms the hilt of the saber for a moment before turning it off. Debating for a moment, he turns the power low enough Wrench couldn't accidentally burn himself and holds out the saber. He raises a finger of his free hand, pointing at Wrench's face. ]

Ground rules- don't run off with it, try not to sever a limb, and watch where you're swinging it.

Oh, my God -- seriously??

[watch him start to reach for it before Anakin can change his mind. he'll be careful! he'll be good and respectful and stuff!!]

[ Don't let him regret it! He nudges the saber to signal that Wrench is free to take it. If it got too out of hand, he could use the Force to get it back. ]

Okay, are we sure I got kidnapped? Because I'm starting to think maybe I died and somehow went to heaven.

[he hands are shaking a little with his barely contained excitement as he takes the lightsaber from Anakin. to his credit, however, he's familiar enough with weapons to known not to point the saber at himself or Anakin when he ignites it. he swishes it around a little carefully, to get a feel for it, and then, almost reverently and definitely more softly, sedately, he tells him:] It's heavier than I thought it'd be.

[oh, my god, this is amazing]

[ Anakin nods, huffing out a laugh. ]

Not the first time I've heard that one.

[he huffs out a breath of a laugh, too, the sound decidedly wry]

Literally or metaphorically? Because I could see that going either way.

A little of both, honestly. The weight of responsibility gets to be a little much sometimes. You get used to the physical weight at least.

Yeah, I figured. [did he mention he had conflicting feelings on the Jedi as a whole? because he totally does] Sucks, dude.

[turning the lightsaber off, finally, he passes it back to Anakin, hilt-first, like you would with a knife or a traditional sword]

[ He offers a shrug, because what else does he do in this situation? Anakin takes the lightsaber back, clipping it back onto his belt. ]

Problems for another day.

Problems for another lifetime, man. [hey, look on the bright side! you're trapped literal realities away from the Jedi order and the Sith and all that bullshit! hooray!]

[and while that's meant to be excited, still, in a sort of haha suck it, bestie kind of way it ends up reading as a little bittersweet. especially when the mask goes from the perpetual (^_^) it's been displaying through this conversation to (-_-) he's been here for all of a hot minute, but man, he misses Marcus]
