[un: sprite bulb] voice;
This dragon greatly resembles Boreal Serpents I've encountered. There are a few differences, but they're otherwise quite similar- particularly in shape and elemental affinity.
Seeing as a number of us seem keen on returning it to the ocean as originally promised, I think we can agree it's in everyone's interest to calm it first before any further damage is done.
[A breath, then barreling through the rest with the grit of someone fully expecting an argument]
..So, I'm going to try and put it to sleep. I don't fully expect this to work, and I don't expect it to work swiftly, but all we need to do is calm its mind enough to work with. It's otherwise proven itself to be an intelligent creature.
But this will take time to manage. In the meantime, it has the body of a serpent: strong, scaled, and greatly flexible. Straying close isn't wise or likely terribly effective with ordinary weapons. Held at range and distracted would be ideal.
..As such however, this only has a chance to work with assistance.

But I think I could work it like any other enchantment. Like my tattoos, for example - I'm channeling the spell into the inkwork for later use, yeah? Like storing it up in a battery.
I don't think I'd need to literally tattoo you, but depending on how your spell works I might be able to enchant whatever you're using as a focus.
If you use focuses. Do you use focuses??

[Audible uncertainty while Eleven works to sort out what Fox means by 'focuses', so that answer is likely apparent before he comes to it himself]
I don't use a wand or staff to channel my magic through, no. The tattoo I have on my hand sometimes, but that's a different sort of power.

That's okay. I'll figure something out.
Can you tell me how you manifest the spell, then? Or at least describe it as well as you can?

[There's a thoughtful silence then]
I guess I'd say each spell has a different form- er, motion. We call for the magic inside us, then direct it with a hand gesture.
[He hesitates, but since it seems like relevant information, admits]
..Each spell is a bit taxing.

[ There is a matching thoughtful pause on his end. ]
Okay, yeah, I get it. We have magic back home that works through dancing as the spell casting medium, so it’s similar to that.
And you use your hands?
no subject
..Usually. It's how most of my spells work, anyway.
no subject
You got any rings or bracelets or am I gonna have to source some?
[ read: "borrow" from some of the rich bitches trapped in here with them. ]

Then what I'll do is channel magic into the enchanted trinket you're wearing, you get an energy boost and I-- well, probably pass out but at least it should give you a little more juice.

But it sounds like a lot of effort and unpleasant effect on your behalf. Are you sure that's all right?
no subject
... Sorry, rambling.
And yeah, I'm sure. What's the other option? Letting you risk yourself by yourself up against a dragon? No way, man.
no subject
And yes, it is on a chain. Though I couldn't say how old it is. From what I understand, it was passed down through a royal family for a generation or two at least.
no subject
Well, that sounds pretty old. And the gem itself will be way older - geology works on time scales way outside ours. But alright. Great. I'm set up in the Banquet Hall at the moment. You want to head this way?
-> action
[As promised, it's only a short span of minutes later that Eleven approaches Fox. He offers out a necklace once he's in arm's length of him]
I usually wear this beneath everything, so I think it should work if it suits your magic.
no subject
Nice. Does it have an enchantment on it already? I should be able to inscribe something here on the little metal seating for the gem, so I won't have to hurt the gem itself, but... Do you know anything more about it?
no subject
I don't think it's enchanted. I haven't felt anything magical from it, anyway. The only other thing I know about it is that it was passed down through the royal family of Dundrasil- a kingdom that used to worship Yggdrasil. It fell to dark forces six- seventeen years ago.
