[[ ooc: during the two days barricaded into the tower by the dragon. ]]
Do not approach the undead if you do not know how to fight them - these are more dangerous than the ones we have met before.
We need two groups. With me, trained fighters who are confident in decapitation.
With others, those that are trained enough that they can protect and move those of you who are not.
Do not take the undead lightly. Do not risk yourself needlessly. We have healers among us - seek them if you are wounded.
Who will come to hunt?

[ He doesn’t reply to the first part. He can argue - has all too many arguments and nightmares that run through his own mind about his so called nobility. His filial piety. His duty. His honour.
But those are arguments for himself, not the public. ]
I will meet you, then we will join the others in the hall.

[ It's a joke about his mother being a seer, maybe. Or maybe she did warn him, impossible to know. ]
Bring me a snack, won't you? It's been a long few days.
no subject
[ oh, right, food ]
... I will see what I can find. There will be more in the banquet hall.
[ He hopes. ]

[ The flirty tilde-heart is audible in the lilt of his voice as he reclines on some stairs and waits. ]
-> action
He dashes up the stairs two at a time, the line of sausages dangling from one hand, a flaming blade in the other. ]
Mingyu! [ He calls up long before he actually spots the man. ]

It's a sight so entirely unexpected that Mingyu bursts out in warm, startled laughter, having to take a moment to compose himself before rising to his feet to greet the other man properly.
He stands, then leans in to peck Lee Chang on the cheek. ]
I... appreciate your efforts in getting me a snack. [ Of approximately 6-8 whole sausages. He takes the entire rope of them from Lee Chang, then uses his knife to slice two from one end which he puts right back into Lee Chang's hand. ]
They're actually for you, not me. No going into battle until you've eaten.
[ He then makes a quick call for Fox to come meet him in the stairwell in 'about ten minutes' for 'something urgent'. The urgent thing being Fox definitely also hasn't eaten yet today. ]

I am not hungry. [ But he takes a bite of the sausage anyway, making a bit of a face.
Ah, he is so tired of cured meat. ]
Are you going to tell him to stay back?
no subject
He steps up close, draping his arms around Lee Chang's neck, pulling him in to steal a proper kiss. ]
I've hardly seen you since we reached this place, even though we're on the same team. At least Fox has an excuse. What do you have to say for yourself...?
no subject
I’m supposed to be a rake. How would anyone believe that if they saw how I look at you?
[ He’s half teasing, but he returns the kiss and steals a second for good measure. ]
I hate this place, [ He admits in a murmur, ] I will be happy to see the back of it.

No one would even question it. Everyone has seen a man driven to drink and wanton revelry for want of that which is beyond his reach.

... You have a fair point. Perhaps when this is dealt with, I should take you on the town just to underline my desperation.
