un: drenched kitten of heated purrs, audio
[ There's a pause, as he remembers how to use the magic, and then his voice comes through - crisp, low, commanding. He has his Prince voice on and he doesn't even notice. ]
You must go for the head. Decapitation is best, if you can manage it. Caving in the skull second best. Slice open the throat, third. No fancy footwork, no finesse. Your first priority is to keep yourself from harm, so only go for the kill that you know you can take. If you can't take it, escape.
[ He pauses, breathes. ]
We have been told to kill them, if we can. If you cannot, come to me. I will teach you how to fight.
We do not have the luxury of being ignorant.

Good advice.

From what I've witnessed, explosives don't seem remiss either.

I am not sure we have that luxury, either.
no subject
Fair enough. We certainly may be smack in the middle of civilian territory, and occupied at that, but -- still sometimes one must work with the methods at hand.
You're a fighter, then? [ Noting down another among his mental tally of the refugees. ]

Honour is ensuring you aren’t bitten, that you aren’t turned to feast on your friends.

Well, if they attack first, then of course...!
[ If they're like the undead she's used to, then it will be easy for her to defend herself eventually. Even undead should have blood, except for the skeletons. ]
It would be much simpler to kill the one controlling them, though. How nice it would be if we could simply ask them to stop! But someone probably has already tried before now...
no subject
And you won't have time to decide if they attack first.

he won't go talking about demonic cultivation, yet )
Ol' Haltham was recommending a heavy rock to a temple, so needs must get creative, then people should be. Running's a better first option, in most cases.
( more of a thoughtful sound, and: )
How many of us are even armed right now? In a length of steel or even a nice, conveniently armed slingshot.
no subject
I have had my sword returned to me. I cannot speak to any others. But as you say, a creative mind can find plenty of ways to arm itself.
no subject
Mah, I'll see about coming along either way.

They brought me back my sword, so I shall take your advice if and when we come face to face with them. Probably more 'when' than 'if'.

Mine as well. I am glad to know at least some of us are armed.

If you are already training people, I shall not interfere with it as you know best.

That's good to know. Fire seems to be a good way to ward them off for an escape if it isn't possible to kill them.

You simply must make sure that their fear overwhelms their hunger.

You sound like someone who has seen your fair share of zombie outbreaks. When did that start, exactly?
no subject
I have seen more than enough outbreaks of the plague, yes. [ He assumed that was what 'zombie' probably meant, in the context. ]
The plague began a few weeks ago. Though that wasn't when the first were created. The disease was used three years ago to raise an army from the murdered. But they did not spread the infection when they attacked.
That has since changed.
As for this place... Haltham has said that the red-sleeved ones were here a long time before the newer ones took their place. He did not give firm details beyond that, but it is safe to say that it has been here far longer than it has in Joseon.
