I'm starting to think no one has ever actually reached Taravast. Between the shapeshifting tar, the harpies, and the tyrannical ghosts, it's a goddamn circus. I didn't think it could turn into a bigger mess than what we left, but here we are. Being held hostage and everyone would still rather ignore it, or empathize with the dead. [ You want to join them? Be his guest. It's that kind of mood. ]

It's time to get your priorities in order. Aren't some of you supposed to be necromancers? What's the hold up, exactly?

[ That bear better not have eaten them, because that would be just his luck. Whatever they've been plotting, they haven't told him about it. They tried going into temple, and as far as he knows, they managed to put all of one soul to rest. It's maddening. ]

What's wrong with our ghost friends? I've found them quite lovely for the most part.

[Most....of the time?? A lot of the ghost soldiers have been flirting with her and she's been having a grand time with it! At least before all this mess and them all being more on edge and all.... Still!]

The slaughter sounded entertaining enough. Exorcising them all, that's tedious work. The best way to actually tame restless spirits is to let them use their resentful energy.

For now, we're still moving forward, and they haven't actually hurt anybody... Are we even sure that it's true that they want to kill us? One person said they overheard that, but has anyone else confirmed it? And also why would they event want to? It doesn't make sense.

Ghosts are not always logical in a way we understand, but they have a reason for doing things. if you find the reason, you can usually stop them relatively easily.

I don't need anyone to confirm it. They've been increasingly aggressive, so it's not that far of a leap. We need to deal with them now.

If you think you can find their reason, I'd suggest you do it before they attack.

You're right about not doing anything, but attacking them all might be unwise. Do we even know, apart from that stew, what can hurt them?

I think it's the leader that is the source of the threat to us. His men know they're dead but they rally around him anyway. If we can lay him to rest, the others may find peace too.

You do realise we have two different bodies of ghosts here, and I've been working with one already, ah? Yangyang has pointed out that Arha's making his final call, and I can offer to keep everyone redirected, but it's Arha and Hatisse we need to settle first, and for that, I'll also need the people here who aren't fighters protected, while those of us who can deal with spirits handle things.

Or anyone who has a better relationship with any of them weighs in and uses that to better advantage. Feeding into their anger and paranoia only makes it worse. Adding in more desire to kill only makes it worse. Being calm is the best response, ah?
