Well, it's certainly got some power in it, has it not? The hand moves by itself, performs feats by itself - if I chopped off any old hand it wouldn't do anything beyond being some kind of useless, gruesome lump. This one has skills, and it would presumably be the same for the rest of the body.

I think keeping it as is, with perhaps less wandering, seems reasonable. Someone might come looking for it, I certainly don't want to be the one to tell them it was destroyed. You can do all manner with magic, can't you? They might want it reattached.
