Yes. One must drink water and stay hydrated whilst one drinks alcohol, to limit the risk of a hangover.

How did the alcohol come to be?

Well, I believe it all starts with the harvest of grapes - lots of them, which go through a process called fermentation, which basically turns them into wine. Give or take a few steps - this one os red wine, so technically the grapes are mashed to a pulp first, and then left to ferment in a barrel.

Technically the wine comes from my bag, but also I may have liberated a few bottles when the waiters weren't looking.
